You have to play the players that are on form at the time..and for me that has to be Beth's back four of Simpson, Ned, Hill & Yun. The bloke has to get the chance to prove himself and is on fire right now
QPR boss Harry Redknapp admits on-loan Tottenham defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto hasn’t been at his best. The Spurs loanee was left out of the 1-1 draw at Millwall on Saturday. “Benoit been up and down,” Redknapp told the Fulham Chronicle. “I don’t think he’s found the level he had at Tottenham. I think he’s found it difficult the change between the Championship and the Premier. “I was watching a bit of the 2010 Premier, and there was Benoit crossing balls – to Niko (Kranjcar) as it happened. “He was one of the best three left-backs in the Premier League, but he hasn’t risen quite as high. In bits and pieces, hopefully he’ll be a big player for us in the play-offs.” made his mind up then
There was never any doubt mate..............he'll start BAE. We can only hope that our "big name" players rise to the occasion. IMO the semi is very hard to predict, but if we make it to Wembley, then these players may just turn it on. Here's hoping!
So he's going to rely on all our 'name' players who've stuttered and spluttered unconvincingly throughout the season. If it fails then Harry's position will be untenable...
While I think the same, that was said before the Barnsley game so he may have changed his mind. If he plays BAE, he really is utterly clueless. Especially as hes coming back from an injury and isn't match fit.
I read that Harry said BAE was unavailable yesterday rather than unfit. I don't know what his wording meant but is he available for the play offs? What date do we have to release players for the world cup? Either unavailability of injury. I would take either not to have him play for us again.
QPR defender Yuk Suk-Young on scoring his maiden R’s goal in our Sky Bet Championship win over Barnsley at Oakwell … YUN Suk-Young was beaming with delight after scoring his first QPR goal in our 3-2 league win over Barnsley on Saturday. The South Korean international scored with a stunning solo effort at Oakwell – beating three men before finishing with aplomb – to help Rangers on their way to victory ahead of the play-offs. Now Harry Redknapp’s men will face Wigan Athletic in the semi-finals over two legs on May 9th and 12th – and Suk Young insists he is well aware of the importance of the next week or so. “Scoring was an unbelievable feeling – I’m so happy, very happy!” he told www.qpr.co.uk moments after the full-time whistle. “More so because we won today, our final game of the [regular] season. “When I shot and the ball went it, it was a great feeling. “Everybody is ready for the play-offs. We’re working hard in training every day. “We know how important the next week is and we’re focused on what we need to do.” http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/0...ley-2-qpr-3-oakwell-3rd-may-2014-1525798.aspx
I read that Barnsley fans applauded it, also came onto the pitch and over to QPR fans.....and applauded them and wished them well next season after the game. That's why I like teams like the 3 that went down, they have genuine fans.
I am pretty sure that Harry said the BAE had a knock. But in saying that Harry is not the sort of person to be saying that there is a problem so close to the play offs.
Not sure about that Flyer.....the pitch was invaded by loads of spotty kids calling us out more like. I agree with your general point though. We were talking to some Barnsley lads on the walk back to town and they wished us well in the playoffs
Which was my point really, the for against column is in the plus for Yun and far in the negative for BAE even if he has 2 assists which I cant really remember.
And therein is one of the reasons why so many people get frustrated with your posts. You post up something as fact: when you don't "really remember". This, I believe, has led to a lot of the bad atmosphere that has been around here recently.
You are taking it as proof hes had 2 assists, I dont remember any so said he had none, I was willing to admit he had if anyone can remember them. So I went and looked it up and it said he has zero. http://www.goal.com/en-us/people/france/746/benoit-assou-ekotto ESPN said he had 2. Whatever, hes still been at fault for more than hes created.
