If the RS lose this title now it would have been thrown away. Considering that city and the chavs have been doing their best to lose points to let the RS win that first prem title ( in addition to the referees help) it is almost criminal to let it go after coming the closest to it yet.
If Liverpool don't win the league this season, it'll be the biggest bottle job since the 11/12 season.
Well so far they've lost one game in their run in and that was to Chelsea (who also beat City). Not much of a bottle job. Though i suppose it is the biggest (and only) since all of two seasons ago.
As for the result today, I will never celebrate City winning the league (if they don't throw it away), but i'll admit that i'll be relieved so long as it isn't Liverpool.
Not sure it's a bottle job as I regard that as a team who's clearly out in front and then loses a series of games they really shouldn't have.
BUT if they get this close to winning it and then have it taken away from them, then that will give some degree of pleasure to an otherwise terrible season.
No matter how much rowing back their fans do now: "if we had been given this CL place at the beginning of the season, we would have bitten their hands off" "going from 8th to 2nd/3rd is a massive achievement" blah blah , the disappointment of the RS fans would be massive. They have already started celebrating and at least the captain of the RS was telling the truth in saying that it would be a massive disappointment and let down if they let it slip now...

Tbh matth I could take your comment off a real Utd supporter, someone who lives there, someone who doesn't live there but goes to games at OT, but you get enough benefits to at least justify your comment by attending at least one game during your lifetime.

Shouldn't the title really be between Liverpool and United next season given the illustrious history of both clubs. From a neutral point of view, love both your clubs!! We're in with a shout of winning the bloody thing (we wont now) with a weaker squad than our 2 competitors. As champions you have players that really should know better than finishing 7th
