Well done ´Black Cats´, great end to the year If only we had done the same, You played with belief, while showing no fear While we´ve been disjointed and tame It would take something quite horrendous now For you to go down at the death, Even if we can beat Chelsea somehow We´re likely to stay underneath Stranger things have happened but not often And this has been on the cards, long, The fact that you save yourselves slightly softens What´s likely to be our swan song I would have waited until tomorrow night For the final confirmation, But after today´s results the end´s in sight For our certain relegation We all know that the table never lies Whatever else we want to think, This year we´ve not come up with enough highs To keep ourselves out of the drink So well done again for ending up so strong And congrats with your Poyet G, He´s more than righted just a few of the wrongs From your time with Di Canio P.
Her passion for the cakes is plain to anyone who sees, but the passion cakes she bakes look like fakes compared to her passion for the Canaries. Have a great season next year.
Cheers matey, great poem too! It's a shame it's between our two clubs. Always liked Norwich, even though you beat us in the milk cup final on my birthday when I was eight. Broke my heart. I was there at the semi final in 1992 when we won 1-0. The banter and respect on that day between our fans was awesome.
Yep, I feel the same too, but if anyone is just going to pip us for the surviving place, then I´d rather it was your lot than Cardiff or Fulham. Personally, not looking forward to life back in the Championship, but at least we get a chance to thump Ipswich twice.
Also just noticed that apparently we have joined forces with Fulham and Cardiff to appeal over the Ji Dong affair, arguing that you should have been docked points. I don´t know anything about the ins and outs of the case, but I sincerely hope that we fail in the appeal, as it´s certainly not the way I would want to stay up.
That horse may well have bolted as it is all coming a long way after the fact. In the Ji case I believe we infringed some admin rule within the Prem league but we brought it to their attention immediately which is why they dealt with it and fined us.
The owners of the other 2 sides are both weird foreign Burt Reynolds tache having maniacs, we have Delia wading in with her big wooden spoon ...Ridiculous.
Ji was not an outsider, brought in without any documents and sent out onto the pitch. He was registered as a Sunderland player. The mistake was that the paperwork was not completed properly when he returned from loan. The club owned up and the punishment reflected this. He was, throughout, registered to SAFC.
Nice one Mackems. Probably the greatest escape I've ever seen, more so because of your seemingly impossible run in. Now, shall we take Wickham back again for a few games early next season so we can send him back as a world beater??!!!
Well that makes me feel slightly easier, I can´t think we´ve got any realistic chance - sounds a bit like a foot fault in tennis.
Cheers mate and hope you boys come straight back up. Always had a soft spot for Norwich being a local boy, and it's almost always the only SAFC game I manage to get to being so far away with no spare money and knowing noone else who would travel up with me... So bounce back for my sake!
