Alcaraz has been so sloppy - I can't tell if he's naturally **** or doing this on purpose.

Stones has been fairly good... future Liverpool man, Barkley, had a good goal and a few good efforts... the rest of the Everton squad look pretty darn useless out there.

It's gutting, but it was always going to be a big ask from Everton. They now have Villa and West Ham at home and I really can't see them dropping any points. We gave it a ****ing good go though so can't really knock our lads too much.

The Everton rivalry is pathetic. The hatred is all one way, and in that sense they are bitter ****s. I actually would have really liked them to get CL this year. The fact they won't support their team because we may win the title is just seriously sour of them

It's a bit pathetic. That you would give up your teams progression, 3 points, and a mathematical chance of reaching the Champions League, in a season that you've impressed all with your beautiful play (compared to Moyesies Everton) - all to spite the team across the park. A team that doesn't have a traditional hatred-based rivalry with you.

By winning, they could potentially represent the city in the elite competition in Europe, gain 3 points for their team and learn how to actually play against top teams (they've done really well in this regard) next season. By losing they gain absolutely nothing except a bit of smugness in losing.

If they lose while putting up a fight I have nothing but praise for them, but if they half-heartedly go into the rest of this match, it shows a small-mindedness.

They look to be a class act at the moment right now though.

Do not know which game you are watching i am watching a training session, not only are Everton not putting the effort in they are not making City work, thus keeping them fresh for their next two games. Yes this is a meltdown cause its frustrating, as much as i dislike the Chavs they played with spirit, knowing that in all likelihood they will not win title, Everton are NOT trying, Their fans are not bothered and no points will be dropped in this game, and unfortunately the next two city games are at home and they will not drop points to either of those teams.
Its been a good season so cant grumble we blew it ourselves. Just hope the karma comes back on toffees in next few years.

This performance shows why Everton will always be a small club and stars like Barkley will always look to move away <ok>

It is pretty rediculous considering they still have a pretty decent shot at Champions League... or did have a decent shot.

Yeah... City don't really look like they want to win either... it's a really flacid game between two teams that have so much to play for- and neither team looks like they want to put any effort in to try... it's bizarre...

With Everton going for CL and City going for the title- why is neither team trying very hard?

I wrote this shortly after their first goal, up until that point it seemed Everton were trying.

Barkley is trying, Stones is trying, Howard is trying. Lukaku probably is trying, isn't getting any service. Martinez wants to win. The rest have since gone and given up. Ridiculous.

It's definite proof that a large portion of Everton supporters would rather their rival lose than their team win. Which will be the reason their recent success is short-lived. That sort of attitude will push the aforementioned players and managers away to an ambitious team.

I don't understand it either. If Everton picked a win up here there would be a little pressure more on Arsenal to not drop points against WBA.

I can't see Everton getting anything. Especially since the 'supporters' couldn't give a ****

Everton have achieved **** all for another season

Not even their "finish above Liverpool" trophy

#martineztakesthembackwards

Don't know if this is a regular thing but they played Masterplan by Oasis at half time

You should consider that Man C have a great side one that made came back from 2 down against you at Anfield and only a Kompany mistake gifted you 3 points as you were seriously on the rack...

If you lose the title Its because Brendan got Maureened not because your neighbours may not be able to stop City

IMO If distain(Injured) and Barry (loan) were starting those goals would not have been scored

Have a listen to yourselves are any of you over 12??
