Pity is that we're limping towards the end of the season a bit. 17th place finish now looks likely after 12th or 13th was a realistic target. Would have taken that at start of the season though, just hope Chelsea finish off Norwich tomorrow.
For anyone still worrying about being relegated this season, if Norwich Lose or Draw tomorrow, we're mathematically safe. I admit we've had a poor 2nd half of the season and really shouldn't be looking over our shoulders at this stage, but we are.. there's still a very small chance we'll go down but we might get a point or more from our last 2 games. Again though, forget about our last 2 games, if Norwich dont win tomorrow, we're 100% safe. They're away to Chelsea by the way...
agree 100% with the post, just fine it a little alarming the way we've dropped off in form, not beening negative, just an observation.
I'm just pissed off I got robbed for that. The players didn't even try, no urgency, the last 10 minutes they didn't even look to be trying to score, what an abject performance. What's up with Chester, hamstring? Fingers crossed for him, we need him for Wembley and it'd be gutting for him to miss out.
Chester has done the same Hamstring from Newcastle and is a big doubt for the final. Aluko has twisted his Ankle in divot training and is also a big doubt for the final. McShane and McGregor has a good chance to make it.
Don't really care about Europe at the minute. We've got the biggest match in our history coming up in the cup final & our players are looking doubtful to play in it. Just hope we don't limp over the line. Won't do much for confidence.
If that's the case, it needs to be looked at. I know it's an accident, but it's one that could be avoided. We should aim to get the training pitches up to the standard of the KC or as close as we can!
When asked about Figueroa, Brucie said "He and one of two others have to do better". He'll sort them out.
More competition would sort them out, but I suppose some know they've a place in the cup final whatever.
If Man City don't win today we could sit down to 2 games tommorrow; one could see us in Europe and the other could see us retain our Premier League status. We've had a bad day today with the result, performance and news about Aluko and Chester but who could ever imagine that first sentence could exist just a few years ago. Rather do it ourselves but lets enjoy the moment.
It's a pity for Chezzy, but if we can get Macca along side Davis back then things are not so bad in this department. Aluko could still make it, he has a much better chance than Chezzy, and with McGregor hopefully fit, then things are not all bad.
Abject performance, except for about 10 mins after they scored & obviously after we scored, we were poor. Davies was terrible first half, didn't really do anything second half to make me notice him, so he probably improved. I didn't even see Livermore until about the 80th minute when he fouled someone, the rest of the team were daydreaming. I don't know why we didn't go all out at the start, I know they scored early so maybe got hit cold. I expected better today, especially when we got the equaliser. I hope we play better on Tuesday & next Sunday otherwise our goal difference is going to take a battering.
