I take on board a lot of the points being raised here but logging onto this board is like going to the pub or out with friends so talking about SAFC and SAFC only would kill the board - can you imagine going out and talking about one subject all night - no because its not human nature. As such a thread which begins conversing about one subject will almost inevitably become diversified at some point just as a conversation in the pub would. Personally for what its worth (as one of the other posters has mentioned) I get sick of genuine threads being derailed by 2 posters having an internet fight - does my napper in. Right that's yer lot - that was my sensible post for 2014 (well I thought it was sensible)
I do enjoy the diversity of subjects that are posted on the Sunderland forum- the jokes, off topic threads, humour, news, music etc - albeit I agree (if that indeed is an argument) a lot of them have absolutely no relevance to SAFC - if it was all just football I don't reckon I'd want to look in so often, that being said if the general consensus on here keep threads 'on topic' reckon I'd be happy to post in the general chat page.
