So "we've learnt from our mistakes" is not an admission of doing a bad job?

I mean really, everyone knows he's done a bad job, wasted £170m only to have us go backwards.
At least admitting it means we shouldn't sign any more SWPs or AJs.

You are really living up to my avatar. Its hilarious, you get proven wrong on one thing, change the subject, get proven wrong on another and change the subject etc

Can I suggest you look up the meaning of the word 'we'?

There's nothing aimed at, or hinting at, Beard or any other individuals. Only in your biased and negative view - which is wrong.

He said we, meaning himself and at least one other person still at the club, who else could he mean?

Keeping on digging yourself further in.

Still no reply about being proven wrong on relegation clauses I see.

Having seen the modding notice, this is my last post in the thread.

It is an excellent article by Mr Whittingham. I directly sat behind Clive during this and he clearly hasn't let his personal feelings impinge on his reporting of the meeting; there were times where he was slowly shaking his head from side to side and others where he just rolled his head back and looked at the ceiling.

TF is a very good PR man. He comes over very well, makes jokes at Phillip Beard's expense and easily wins over the majority of the audience; others will need to see something physical before they start to get on-board.

The method of having a load of questions pre-set and controlled by Paul Morrissey worked really well. I think it enabled far more questions to be asked and allowed for the important topics to be covered without waiting too much time. As it was it still over ran by around half and hour.

I think I read somewhere on here that Clive gave away his Caterham Race day. If this is true, good on him as, apart from being highly embarrassed at winning it, he was initially looking forward to the experience.

Cheers Roller, it's nice to get back on topic.
Fair play to Clive if true, it's a shame for the poor guy felt that he couldn't just enjoy his win like a regular punter. I guess that goes with the territory of being seen to be an independent commentator. Tough on him though.

    Good on Clive...
I believe in TF, he is obviously in it for his own good, but I do not think "his own good" is too far away from whar=t we want
He wants a successful club....and so do we...

Mummy always told me, "Make sure you've 'been' before you go out."

Add that to my own mantra, "always drink shorts - easy on the tonic" and you shouldn't have a problem.

I am satisfied that TF will eventually point us in the right direction. It is costing him/them a bob or two learning how to run a football club, but if he/they are willing to pay for their education than that is fine by me.
