****'s sake. I'm in E3 currently, if I get moved behind the goal I'd better be getting a hefty price deduction. There's no need for a "kop", the actual Kop only exists in the minds of football journalists, are they going to hand out flags and pre-choreograph singing too? Absolute bollocks.
I'd be abit miffed if i was a season card holder in e1-e3 not that assad will be arsed, he'll see it as a way at getting back at the disgraceful hooligans who didn't bow to his **** idea.
Season ticket holder in E1 Would love the north stand to be the home end with all the singers in that end.
Of course the most vocal dissenters to 'Hull Tigers' are seated in those areas. But I'm sure that's just a coincidence.
To be honest I can't see the point, whether behind the goal or on the side it's only going to be the same three blocks signing, and I reckon a decent chunk will stay in the east stand for a side on view rather than behind the goal.
They wont have that opportunity if everyone in those areas renew, the entire east stand is sold out to pass holders.
I can't see what difference this will make either. The singers in the corner of the East Stand are near enough to sing together. They don't need moving into another stand to do the same. Away fans will be as good/bad in their new stand as they were in the north stand. What a load of bollocks & waste of time & money for that matter.
Unless you know something not included in the plans it looks like they are closing the exit at E1 next to the gates and making a new entrance/exit opposite the roundabout. We all remain in E1 to E3 but have to leave by the stairs near the bookies rather than the exit closer to the existing gates. Anything else would cause the police and stewards huge problems segregating the away supporters from the home ones. I may be wrong, but it just seems they are putting a wall of steel around the away supporters given the huge disturbances we've seen this season.
I still like the idea of having the away supporters entrance underground then the home fans can go all the way round the ground easily.
A bridge would be cheaper, especially if there's an upper tier. The water table and flooding tend to add a lot of engineering problems to tunnels. PLUS, we don't need segregating. Even with the fence and plod, people just circumvent it and meet up for a beer. It's 30 years too late.
I do know something not in the plans, there's definitely a plan to move the away fans ahead of next season. This has been attempted since AP was in charge, it seems it's finally happening.
Cheaper but less effective. There could still be exits for people who had reason to go in/out a different way but it would help with coaches and cars as well as large groups from trains.
