Rather a drastic measure surely for the visit of Leicester City next season ? Is AKCJ and his fellow fans that much of a risk ?
E1 here My dream is North stand for all home singers Better acoustics. And one day safe standing in the north stand
Make the north stand, east stand and south stand two tiers. Split the north stand into two horizontal halve so the away fans can have a quarter up to a full stand. Have an underground entrance for away fans. Spend a bit of money but after that no hassle.
CCTV has played a large part in that nowadays. Would be nice to get all the singers in one area at long last. Would be nice to get a top tier for the away fans and get them out of the way at some point. Many thanks.
I went to a station without many people on the platform. I do remember quite a walk but I don't think there were fans coming from the other direction.
From memory don't QPR allow you to enter the ground from the south (Shepherds Bush) but after the game you have to leave the ground to the north necessitating a long circular walk back to Shepherds Bush?
Will there be watch towers & barbed wire as well? Maybe they should do the right thing, and put up a small barrier in between the home & away fans so they can stop taking up seats as segregation.
Remember a few years ago going to a Lincoln game with City. After the game the police stopped us going across this cleared piece of land straight to the coaches and directed to the street. We had to walk round the block and back to the ground to get on the coaches. The second corner we turned we bumped straight into the Lincoln fans coming round the other way. Although there was one or two scuffles nothing major happened. The police then starting to push us on the coaches and escorted us out of the town. A couple of coaches got bricked but it wouldn't have happened if we'd have not had the walk. Total lunacy.
Looking at the plans it means that the stewards can close the gates to the north west corner for most matches. Now they have to leave them open because of the City fans in the North Stand. They've moved the fence at the east stand so we all have to stand at that road that leads to the away coaches. It would appear that there will be no egress for away supporters other than the coach park and the road from the coaches to the bridge to the railway station. Oh dear.
I take it you are joking or very young or something There is absolutely no need for the fence , it's stupid
It seems we are moving the away fans into the north east corner and the North Stand will become our kop. I expect it won't go down to well with some in E1-3, but I think it's a good move.
I agree, good move. Getting majority City fans behind that North Stand goal will do the atmosphere the world of good!
The people who are proposing must be con men shaking down our out-of-touch council, who believe all the crap about football 'hooliganism' at the KC fed to them by the incompetent cowards of Humberside Police.
Is that circular thing an east stand access tower on the plans? If not then what is it? please log in to view this image
To be honest, I've seen some plans and they're not very clear(more a photo with lines draw on than plans), so I'm not actually sure where it starts and ends, but it looks like it takes just E1/2 out if the east stand.
