I've had a tenner on Zinedine Zidane ushering in a new era.

Stick a tenner on Avram Grant. Looks like an undertaker who hates his job. Apt for the way things are going at the minute.

Generally agree with you there. IF, they put in a real performance then if course they deserve to be supported with applause for their efforts. But based on recent experience, the players are equally as at fault as Pardew. End of the day he is the one in the press (spouting crap), but they are the ones on the pitch. At the moment they don't deserve applause. A change in attitude and a big performance could change that. IF they can be bothered.

They wont walk around the ground close enough to the fans for them to be able to spit on them.

The other consideration with this walking out business is the impact on the players. Yes it sends a message to Pards and yes it sends a message to Ashley it may or may not have the desired effect in terms of Ashley taking any action. But one thing is for sure, if I were a player I'd have to myself whether it's the kind of club I want to be part of if the fans walk out in protest. If I had interest from elsewhere, then I'd now seriously consider the options - even if I had previously had no intention at all in leaving.

I know many of you might say "so what, sod the lot of them!" But can we really afford to push away the likes of Debuchy, Colo, Tiote & Krul - all of whom could well be targets - in one go?

By all means protest, but also understand how it will unsettle the players too. It is a gamble.

It all depends, doesn't it, on whether they are with the manager (as Dan Gosling claims, and he can fck off an'all) or not. Performances suggest they're not. Rows with players suggests they're not. Social media and the press seem pretty clear on where the blame lies. You'd have to be either living under a rock, or as thick as one, not to at least partly understand what is going on.

To be fair, the fans have still turned in 50,000+ attendances when things have been diabolical. There will still be 50,000+ at kick off on Saturday. If, come the 60th minute, they're performing just as "well" as they have for the last half a year, then the fans have every right to show how disgusted they are.

As far as players then taking this as a sign to want to leave, I don't think fan action in ONE game is going to dictate whether you stay or not. The players will more than likely support what the fans are doing, as they don't want to play for a club without ambition. Damage to players' opinion has already been done, and that lies with Ashley, not Pardew.

Final point here, one action by Ashley will change that - appoint a decent, respected figurehead and sacrifice Pardew. I doubt many players - apart from Gosling and Shola - will be upset to see Pardew go. Sign a couple of new players in early June and that will be enough to convert any doubters. If we keep Pardew and do nothing, then players will want to leave and it's this scenario that will have Ashley considering his options, as a mass exodus of our best and brightest will mean we are going down next year, and he's not bailing the club out again. Once we're down, he'll then sell up and move to Glasgae.

Newcastle fans are completely divided without any organisation what so ever.
Can't organise a simple visual show of unhappiness
60 minutes we show them. Nah 69 is more symbolic, we'll do it then. Amazing stupidity.
Sorry everyone, but until our fans can show some unity, we might look like the fodder Ashley feels we are.
I stopped going to home games 2 years ago and won't buy a modern shirt.
I'm looking forward to the day of getting my club back.

Debuchy, Colo, Tiote & Krul know what high esteem the fans hold them in and how well thought of they are for their efforts, it's the non triers that people are sick and tired of.

That's part of the problem. Someone comes up with an idea, someone else comes along and says hey mine is better. Fragmentation before anything has even happened. Other side of the coin you get, 'what is the point it's not going to change anything'. If people took that attitude throughout history we would live in a substantially different world than now.

People want change - They need to take action. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. You can then say 'tried that' try something else.

It's in the Independent, Telegraph, Guardian, local media, Twitter, and so on. It's impossible to avoid this news. Pardew knows it's going to happen, one way or another. He knows it's against him. If he knows, his players know. You'd have to be pretty fcking thick as a manager not to have your side prepared for this, but because he's such an arrogant cnt I'd bet he hasn't.

He's a stick your fingers in your ears and pretend it's not happening kind of guy. He needs this team to put in such a performance as to make it very difficult for the supporters to leave. It won't happen, because he's an utter fcking plank. Shola will start again, as will Gosling, and Ben Arfa will send tweets from a hotel room. Yet Pardew will still somehow believe he's right.

I'm fairly sure it will be a slow trudge to the exits. I haven't seen anyone running at SJP since Stoke had two men sent off.

We Sunderland supporters could take your places !, you could save us tomorrow and Pardew will be a hero to us. But being serious, we have both had crap seasons and need new owners, Ashley sits on his fat arse too much, and Short is not English to realise what spending big means to us.
