WTH, i left work knowing nothing and missed all this excitement! Some good signings though, very happy there all confirmed now
Shame to see racs go in the way he has, good luck, but well done club on getting some moves confirmed, and hopefully 3 good ones. Alonso should be decent at this level considering previous clubs, Hayes is proven at this levina and evina is a promising prospect
I will trust the judgement of other fans on Paul Hayes as i'd never heard of him myself, heard he did well at Scunthorpe but for me the main goalscorer there was Hooper but as I said I hope he is very good for this league as others suggest and nice to see a proper 3 year contract handed out as well, so he can't just pack his bags after a good season as others have done
An exciting day after all the speculation! Nice to see CP building his own squad and getting the required backing...nice one CP...Now for a couple of CB's,plus D.Green? Donaldson? what are the chances??
Yep, good work from CP and those involved. We need to add options for the wings, though, and still believe it was a poor move to let Kyel Reid go, but my faith has been restored today. Hayes is a good player and will certainly do a job for us at this level. He will be happy to be back down south with a decent contract. Top day.
"...I left work knowing nothing and missed all this excitement!" Same here, Haysey - I walked in to this tonight and I'm still pinching myself. COYR!
it's looking good that Powell may have his squad fully built heading into pre-season, that's the way things should be done if you mean business, not like last season where nothing happened until a week before kick off and about 10 players reported for pre-season training Sir Alex Ferguson always likes to get his business done early in the summer and all ready for pre-season too, Curbs did too to an extent unless an emergency signing was needed
I haven't commented on any of these rumours or signings because I don't know what any of them are like. In fact I've felt quite ignorant reading the correspondence. I'm now looking forward to the Welling game to find out what they're like. After all, seeing is believing.
With all this Twittering going on, has anyone tweeted Reuben Bover to see how his registration is going?
A young Spanish midfield player, who about six weeks ago declared on Twitter that he'd joined us from Real Halesowen. There's been a holdup while we work out a compensation fee with his parent club in Spain.
Duke Henry: I am Henry the Red. Duke of Shale, Lord of the Northlands and leader of its peoples. Ash: Well hello Mister Fancypants. Well, I've got news for you pal, you ain't leadin' but two things, right now: Jack and sh*t... and Jack left town. Bruce Campbell Vs The Army of Darkness.
According to that he's been with us for some time. He tweeted that he was off to see us play Walsall plus he seems to be tweeting with Tuna and Popo. I've never heard of him though! Thinking about it Walsall was about 6 weeks ago!
Ruben is on holiday with his fam in spain at the moment, he is reporting back for pre season on the 1st of July with the rest of the team. Source: I speak to him quite often on facebook...
Thanks for the update, Matt. This is a strange situation - I know that 'compensation payments' always seem to take longer to arrange than actual transfer fees and I'm also aware that there are complex restrictions on young players moving around the EC but I'm encouraged that he's turning up for training. Competition for places in the midfield is certainly going to be fierce this season.
Just not sure if this Spanish Lad would warrant a place in the starting line up I'm holding out for an established Right Winger please please log in to view this image
