You said that it would be embarrassing if the KC was extended and we had empty seats. It doesn't bother L***s united. Quite simple. You seem obsessed that a handful of games at the KC have not reached capacity by a couple of thousand. What about the games that have been over subscribed ?
Already been suggested, but considering the lads he works with know who he supports I don't think it'll cut it.
as it is looking desperately bleak for any expats flying in for the game to get a ticket, I'll buy it off him if he's selling!
Aye, it's taken a few too many 'non queue' related tangents this thread. OT - see you in 524 Cortez mate.
But in the many years before I die I'll be thinking "I wish I have more money". It's not just about money. In my line of work extra work comes to me and people want the work done. I'm providing a public service.
Are you planning on sitting down and enjoying the show, or standing up, jumping about and rocking the roof off wembley stadium?
I don't give a flying **** about Leeds Utd. What's the point extending a ground you can't fill. It makes no sense. I don't have the figures, other than what gets sneered at by the opposition fans when put up on the big screen. If there's a sustained period of success which gauges interest in the local area, & more people want to come watch us, then fine. But we're not in that position at the minute. We need a few more years to get better on the pitch. Look at how many turned out week in week out last season. Which was a successful season. And secondly, if the club engages with it's community better it might get better ticket sales irrespective of division. But other teams are miles ahead in that department. Don't give me any of that bollocks about the cup final selling out, because even the ****test team in the football league can shift more tickets than it has fans normally on a match day, for the big occasion. It doesn't mean they have a massive fanbase.
It's the kind of thing I'd walk out of a job for. I'd just put it to them straight, look I queued for ****ing hours, I'm never going to see it again, you can find someone else. If he's a good worker he'll keep his job.
An extension to the stadium doesn't happen by magic. It is something that has to be planned for with money made available. We could wait until we sell out every match for 5 years before doing anything to make sure we are not wasting our money but in the meantime we lose the potential additional revenue from increased support. For the next 5 years we will be in or around the bottom third of the table unless we find the additional revenue to take the club to the same level as Southampton and Newcastle United. We may even experience a relegation back to the championship. Increasing the capacity of the stadium is not the answer to all our financial problems (we still owe Allamhouse around £80 million) but it would be a start at building a bigger fan base than we have now. Coupled with improvements to the club shops and the match day experience we could see a fairly significant increase in revenue. The time to start that is now, not when the bubble is about to burst.
This ^^^^^^^^ it kills any other perspective because the strategy achieved the objective. It's a non-argument if you wish to base it on our cup run, which I believe is the gist of it. I notice that you (Peter) included McShane as a weak player at a time he was pretty damn good.
Team selection is a big improvement on the merits of supermarkets, which some were enthralled with earlier.
Just got back with tickets for me and my son. Ticket office said they had got some more from wembley (not sure if true or not) anyway also said would be a few left for the morning though from what I could see there really didn't look like many left at all so would definately suggest that anyone interested rings absolutely first thing and rings constantly til you get through. Only choices left were £115 and £45 tickets. Good luck if you try.
There are only £115 and £45 tickets left, the £115 tickets left are block 105 and block 118 and the £45 tickets are all high up behind the goal and look to be spread between 508-517, looked to be about 300-400 tickets left by my reckoning and i was one of the last people out of the ticket office tonight. Good luck to anybody trying to get tickets tomorrow.
They said they were going to serve everyone before they went home - not many left when I got served either.
