I'm referring to the people who said Barnetta was supposedly in the hotel last week.

Can someone do a Twitter source thread with a league table in it? Every time a bullshit rumour comes true, the source gets a point, every time they get one wrong they lose a point. Then we know which ones we can trust. We could also do this for newspapers. <ok>

For what it's worth I think they're all lying attention whores, but it would be interesting to be able to quantify just how pathetic they are. <ok>

They said last week that it was a reliable source, but I doubt that if he was there at the end of last week, he would still be here now. He won't be wanting to hang around in a hotel for ages.

How can you be an "in the know" when you don't even know for sure what the guy's surname is?

Because if you read it, he said he spoke to the porter, who didn't know the name, and he'll find out for himself tomorrow

So it wasn't even coming from him, how do we know that the porter's reliable/competent?

Apparently a lobster in the kitchen said we were close to agreeing a fee for Lionel Mes... and the rest was cut off as it was boiled alive. :(

Looks like it must have been Messi though, there's not too many Lionel's around.

Pity about the lobster, must have been a bit messy for that too.

Surprised Coozy is allowed to give out this information, though fair play to him if he's being 100% genuine unlike people like cwarr and certain people on here.

Because I said lets play Matuidi on the wing? Please can you read the comment before criticising it?

Youve just answered your own question, if he is the same as Barton then why spend £7 mil on a replacement, with a large element of risk wether he would cut it in our league.

Exactly, if the player is in town that implies that a deal has been struck with the selling club and permission granted to speak to the player. Don't see how player negotiations could be going on so long with him being housed in a hotel for the entirety.
