They will try anything to get themselves talked about, and it doesn't seem to bother them that it is because they are the nations laughing stock..
Not that it doesn`t bother them mate it`s that for the most part they`re too stupid to realise. They merely follow along with the attention seeker Wraith. Those who do have a bit more intelligence are, quite rightly, embarrassed.
No offence but I never know what people mean when they say that about their team ........ it means absolutely **** all as far as I can see.
A walk out after 60 mins having paid Ashley to get in. Throwing replica tops onto the pitch after buying them from Ashley. A march round the ground. Several rants. Meltdown. None of which will make the slightest difference.
I'm sure they all said they'd not be buying any ****e with Wonga on the front, every one of them had them on last time I looked! The way United play? How we set out to beat teams. It's not a philosophy that's changed much over the last 20 years or so. Changing the players hasn't changed how we have won games consistenly, only under Moyes who tried to change everything. O'Shea has a clever football brain, Brown has natural instinct, if Brown was reliable injury-wise and JOS was a bit quicker getting back after losing the ball 50 yards up the pitch, I don't think we'd have sold either so soon. It's no coincidence that you're a tough nut to crack for United, those two are professionals, they'll anticipate things that you and I wouldn't be able to as a fan, and I think Gus will use that.
You're right though, when he's on his game he's superb. He's been great the last two games. But like I said, he's spent most of the season switching off at set pieces.
He's on my list of players I've actually hated this season. He's continually out of position, tries to play Beckenbauer 60 yard passes which he can't manage and gets under too many crosses. That's excusable to some degree but every mistake is followed by shouting at pointing at the nearest player he can blame. He was launching punts upfield to Altidore, game after game, the throwing his hands in the air when they flew into touch. I also can't say I've really see him, or Brown, attacking corners when we've loaded the opposition box.
He operated on the right side of our team, along with Neville and Beckham who usually could spray those type of balls around. It was never his natural position but he did ok most of the time. The long pass thing frustrated us as well though. He's very intelligent with regards to reading the game, it's just sometimes he seems to not be able to make decisions quick enough even though he reads what's happening. O'Shea used to chip in with a few goals for us, European nights spring to mind, I also remember him getting you off the hook in a derby if I'm not mistaken!
Can't wait to see the back of him mate. it will be in a years time though as nobody will take those wages on
