I'd quit day dreaming and live in the real world. We don't sell out now, and it's the most successful the club has ever been.

It's City, as a club, that's holding back progression. As someone said when all this Hull Tigers cobblers was going on- how can they look to make the club bigger globally, when they fail to get it right on their own turf.

They're not connecting with the community. Other teams in other cities do a lot more to get people to come to matches & special events.

And as for all this Hull FC bollocks you're spouting. You are aware a lot of our fan base follow both sports. It's not as if they're completely against there being a successful football team in the city.

Lowering ticket prices would be a start, but it would only attract fans if the club was constantly successful. If we can sustain this success we have then they're might be a chance.

How much would a ticket be?

    10,000 x 20 (a projected average cost of a KC seat) x 20 (matches) = 4m ?

If the extention only cost 8m, I would be surprised.

In reality we will not fill the stadium at 36k for some time.

As OLM posted a staged increase would make better sense.

As i mentioned on here the other week its the younger element you need in the ground to create any type of long lasting atmosphere....we certainly need to have drastically reduced ticket prices for under 21's , that coupled with a safe standing area for a kop area is a must imho :]

We've had the stadium debate before and other things have pushed it down the agenda.

What is clear now is taking 52,000 fans to the semi's & final and the prospect of a run in the Europa Cup means we must not let stadium development fall back down the agenda again or be diverted by unworkable Hull Tigers/Melton Tigers b*****ks. We need a phased development with a phase 1 increase above north and south as soon as possible and a plan for a phase 2 East Stand Upper to follow along with increased corporate facilities and surrounding infrastructure improvements.

You don't need to sell out each and every game to justify a stadium expansion. Even now we could sell, say 30,000 tickets for some games. With time it will be for more.

In addition to other people's valid points, let's not forget we've just been through a recession. People are struggling to make ends meat.

The club and the council need to play a game of chicken on this issue.

Edit: Damn. Dutch got there before me and with a much better response.

Tracy and her Mills & Boon Facebook statuses are the Yin to my sexual perversion Yang.
