And for the semi final a few weeks ago.

And near enough every away game.

We replaced the old system with a new high tech card based system and apparently it doesn't work.

You know exactly what I mean. The KC is 10,000 under capacity but it is kept that way because of the eggchasing minority who would feel lost in a bigger stradium, as you well know.
Not forgetting they campaigned for a 15,000 capacity.

No rugby goggles, I'm as much a Hull City fan as you are.

Whichever way your dress it up it was disappointing not to sell out on our second ever trip to Wembley and our first FA Cup semi-final for 80+ years.

Its a possibility but a bigger stadium isn't a prerequisite for sustained success.

It may be something we need in the future but in our best ever season we're not selling out every home game as it is.

Unlike every other ownership of the club who would 1. Not produced any pizza or hot drinks free of charge.
    2. In the unlikely event that they did they would have charged through the nose for them and 3. We never got to a FA Cup Final.

Isn't there some ridiculous rule in the egg chasing franchise cr@p about capacitys for games, meaning if we did expand to 30-35k due to their piddling attendance they would be in breach?

That would be nice, can't see it happening with our current name though, if only there was something more marketable we could change it to.

And yet we still sold more than our stadium capacity with many current pass holders not going. An extension to the KC can only be good for the club in the long run. To hold back in case of failure shows very little ambition.

They didn't test it before installing it?

Certainly the point allocation system that was originally used for clubs to qualify for the top division did offer a bonus for clubs achieving a certain percentage of ground capacity over the season.

There's no franchising now so if we did want to extend that wouldn't be an issue.

The money needed for an extension can be better spent elsewhere, in areas which would actually help us consolidate our position in the top flight. In an ideal world we would extend but it wouldn't feature in a sustainable progression plan for a few years at least.

It would only take about two years to pay for the extension from increased revenue even if we weren't sold out every home match. It would help to increase our fan base.

Under capacity? We can't fill it out as it is now in the premier league.

Imagine how embarrassing it would be if we made the capacity bigger & all you saw was empty seats.

We could sell more to away fans. More Hull people would go, especially youngsters who would become fans of the future.

I think many of the non pass holder seats in the east stand are singles on their own. An extension would allow fans to buy seats together with friends and family. Besides that an extension would promote the clubs ambition and attract new fans just as the move to the KC did in the first place.

This isn't a hair splitting contest. We are not selling out every home game mainly because the away section is not always taken up and the home attendance is hit by every match being televised live in packed pubs all over the region. Despite all of that we have only been about 2k under capacity at even the lowest of crowds. Is that good enough reason to say 'Whoooaaa hold your horses, things might go belly up, etc etc etc'
This is only our third ever season at this level and in that time we have reached an FA Cup Final, played a semi final at Wembley and reached that stage for only the second time in our history, last time in the Prem we reached the quarter finals, and this time we also look odds on to qualify for Europe.
The sky is the limit and the KC is too small.
    Only eggchasers disagree with that.
