I've got it. the Goons ONLY invested because they thought that when we played Vauxhall Motors, they thought that Vauxhall were going to become club sponsors. However, they decided that QPR needed a "Formula One Plan" to help us motor up the league.

Oh ad Goldhawk, I want a T Shirt which says "Survived the Goon invasion" with pictures of the three amigos on the back

@worknoplay77 at the moment can't really say more than the next couple of days are hugely important.

I'm sure the lack of a new shirt sponsor/no new kit/no new signings are an indicator that things are happening behind the scenes and, fingers, toes and everything else crossed we'll be putting up 'under new ownership' signs in the very near future.

I'm praying this is true now. I cant believe we havent signed anyone yet and Warnocks comments the other day on sky sports about waiting for the board to sanction impending deals makes me think something must be happening in the background. Imagine if this is done by the end of the week? We may even sign someone next week :)

Perhaps Bernie and Flav are throwing Colonel Gadaffi and Hosni Mubarak a lifeline ?

Heaven knows, but discipline would improve in the squad.

This is becoming very interesting indeed, from a pipe dream to potential reality :)

Indeed.....I just had a look at the thread.....

That Ambrose-gate was one reason why I didn't post on 606 for about 3 months.....even though I'd got some good (and true) stuff come through.

My mate decided to wind me up, because I'd tricked him with the scores of an online football match. So, he fed me the Ambrose story, and I took the bait. I felt such a **** after that!!!

He DID go on Vital, and post an apology, but the damage had been done.

Now I don't post anything unless I'm absolutely certain, and by that time it's normally just been or just about to be released.

Maybe the Ambrose prediction was just 12 months in advance and may come true yet :) Then you could prove to be a real soothsayer

    I wish!!!

Everyone seemed to forget the night that I posted that Simon Walton had signed......

He had been in, with John Gregory, to the casino that I was an Inspector in, and as I know John fairly well, he had come over to introduce me.

I said "Can I tell a few friends?"

He said "Yes, mate, you can tell who you like, cos it's a done deal"

Needless to say, I was straight onto the forum with that one!

Fingers crossed that it's true... Although not the Colonel Gadaffi and Hosni Mubarak suggestion.

Surely there can be only one outcome, the goons want to sell and Mittal wants to buy.

Ummm...perhaps it's a meeting about purchasing the White City site, and has nothing to do with selling the club to the Mittals?

    Just a thought!

I'm with 999 and Kaspars... rich owners running the club in a responsible and sutainable way. I don't like the Chelsea/ Man City model.

Fair point, Mango, but it flies in the face of what CernyBerny is predicting, and since he seems to be regarded as something of a soothsayer, I think it may be bigger than White City. In fact, if CB is right, it could be the biggest thing in the history of QPR. I don't want to exaggerate here but I'm trembling as I type this...!

I too am praying this is true. There do seem to be a lot of different rumours concerning a take over. Add to this that we have no sponsor, no new kit and no signings, it does all add up!

lways thought CernyBerny worked for the club beacause him came out with stuff when no one else was talking about it and it was spot on. plus before last season he said something like get behind the team this season guys. which just sounded to much like pr than an opinion

He's works/knows someone at the training ground.
I notice there's no Swans on this thread, if true they can put this in their pipe!
