Its owed by Paddy McCourt Nothing story this. But I agree with Dev im looking forward to the GB slating him for shaming the club
As an isolated incident it is a nothing story but this is far from the first time he's been caught doing **** like this. He should know by now that you can't do things like this. He's not a daft, wee laddie just out of school. He needs to shake off the baggage or take his troubles elsewhere.
Stokes is an employee of Celtic football club Tam. His contract will include clauses about behaviour both on and off the field, they certainly can tell him who to socialise with if he wants to keep being an employee of the club. One of the biggest threats to the reputation of any business (football being no exception) is objectionable actions by employees. This is especially important when it comes to the goldfish bowl in Glasgow.
Unfortunately not, as we both know Dev a reputation can only be salvaged it can never be wiped clean. And it's becoming clear the longer we go unopposed at the top of the tree there will be certain folk on here who act like Huns most of the time and can't accept anyone criticising the club, the fans or the players.
I know, you should have seen the abuse the GB have taken on here for criticising the club and the players
A lot of the times I go back to Belfast I ended up in a bar with Republicans - half of which are my uncles.
In fact I went to see Charlie and the Bhoys in Toronto and wee Bertie Auld was touring with the band. He was taking various collections and helping with the thing set up, just before all the 'RA tunes started blasting.
Aye but you're not a member of the Celtic playing squad Mick. I doubt any pictures will end up in the Record of a rid-heided bookie having a few pints with family. This wouldn't have even made the paper if Stokes didn't have previous, as other have said it's a non-story.
Seriously some ****ing ******s on here. Paddy McCoy owns the bar and being a Republican isn't illegal. Although the slacked jaw among you would like it to be so. If Celtic were to sack Stokes for this he would take them to the cleaners. Daily Record This board really is full of forelock tugging ****s.
To be fair, you're not a highly paid footballer playing for a club known for it's links to Irish republicanism.
Its a non issue. But he should know anything he does like this will be Sensationalised by the papers.
In all essence this is a case of an Irishman damning the club in the eyes of the media, and many people in this country, by engaging in Irish politics whilst under the employ of Glasgow Celtic. I don't have any recollection of seeing the likes of Marc Crosas in the papers, shaming the club, supporting ETA. Must be an Irish thing to make your employers look bad, repeatedly, in order to fuel your own petty agenda.
