Funnily enough watched Zulu Dawn at the weekend - Bob played an uncompromising yet ultimately courageous and supportive sergeant (doomed like the rest) ... marvellous character actor - incredible cast of male actors in that film by the way ...

Public holiday here for Fête du Travail, then another one next week for Fête de la Victoire, followed on the 29th May by Ascension. As all of these holidays are on Thursdays this year, so we can expect Fridays will not be a good time for industry.
I've always thought that's one advantage about living in a Catholic (with a small c) country - most of the holy days of obligation tend to be public holidays!
Thanks for the coffee ak, but having the Del Lords on your iPhone sounds very uncomfortable - is it a virus?
A tragedy, it seemed like an exceptional teacher has been deprived of her well earned retirement. I hope the perpetrator is jailed for life and by that I mean until he dies as he has lost the right to be a free person.
I have just heard that Gerry Adams has been arrested on a charge of murder, not before time. Let us hope that Mr McGuinness is next on the list. The right of these 2 to enter the Palace of Westminster sticks in my craw.
Merci bien Frenchie. I am working today as I will have holiday tomorrow to make a long weekend. Our office is very quiet.
"Fete de la victoire", that one passed me by I never thought the French won anything apart from white flag raising competition.....
I like the French way. If something is not good for France the nation will not do it. Out prime minister tried to do this with the ESB and we have 50.000 prople want to join, they are mad. Ãsland will be destroyed even more than what our bankers did to us.
Enjoy the weekend all. I don't have time for the last match thread of the season, so if someone else could, that'd be good.
"It is understood the target of the plot was a teacher, but no one was harmed and the matter was resolved peacefully." I wonder what the intended target had to say about that......
