Nice one, Gandy, always had a lot of time for the Stones, but I prefer their psychedelic sound... Great stuff!
It's from the "Their Satanic Majesties Request" album, worth checking out, Gandy, the whole album's on youtube.
Been to a few gigs lately, stand-outs were Wild Beasts and Interpol, both at Brixton Academy and both bloody brilliant. Got a few more lined up to make up for me not going to Glasto again this year, the one I'm most looking forward to is Dexys at the Roundhouse. Best band ever, Kevin Rowland is my hero
Was playing the '69 version of this earlier on vinyl. This dates to mid-fifties, nice.

A brief moment of self-indulgence (brief, who am i kidding?) Tipperary's finest son (my uncles knew him, Bob Dylan called him the greatest ballad singer ever) singing a moving song about the futility of war (I get like this after a few) RIP Liam
