Frank De Boer would be interested in NUFC managerial position.

That's so f***ing random, isn't it? Why would he even have one seconds thought about Newcastle United?

We hardly have claims to sleeping giant status...

    So weird...

I can't even think of a reason that could stem back to his playing days... Unless he was reading English papers whilst in Spain...

    You're right, it just weird.
May be something in the translation, the Mirror have changed 'Perspective' with 'Opportunity', but that still doesn't make any sense.

Didn't he play against us (Barca 2002) in our heady days of CL football? Maybe he just thinks we should be back at that level?

He did indeed play against us Home and Away.
Was also Manager of Ajax when they sold us Vernon Anita.

I think it's important we all now pretend Champions League is the norm for us, and we've only just become mid-table nobodies, in case he googles Newcastle United and finds our forum <laugh>

You'd think they'd let us in the CL just for the fun of it.

We could be the novelty act, guaranteed to provide entertainment and plenty of goals for the viewing public.

Pards would make sure we don't have any drab 0 - 0 draws.

Bloody hell, imagine the current lot against Real Madrid or Barcelona. They could literally just put Ronaldo / Messi out in a one man team and still thrash us.

Against Ronaldo or Messi would be bad enough, but full teams would be taking the piss.

Looking more likely that FDB is bound for the Spuds.

It's a decent record he's got for Ajax, although I always worry about Managers who have simply started at the top (Guardiola / Rijkaard)

The whole squad needs sorting out and i'm not sure who is the right person to do it :(

The copy/paste isn't clear but the bottom line is he has a win rate of 60% <ok>

Hmm, maybe we could get another 'cockney' muppet in the form of Tim Sherwood! <doh>

His domestic record is pretty good, always had bad starts in the season but always managed to get a winning streak in the second half of the season. His European statistics are bad, consider though he had a group of death type scenario in the CL for three years. In the Europa League he has done nothing worth noting except beating Manchester United at home 1-2, but since they lost at home 0-2 they still got the boot in the round of 32.

To summarize: always has bumpy starts, doesn't do well in Europe but always manages to pull of a winning streak to claim the league title.
