Does anyone actually watch this pash anymore? Utter ****in drivel. Okay I admit I did used to watch it and I was one of the 19 million that stayed up on Sunday night in 1985 to watch what was compelling viewing at that time. After that though I thought bollocks to this. Pleased for Stephen Hendry right enough. I see he's in tow with someone 20 years younger these days. Woner what attracted the floozy to him eh? Used to play snooker but like most bpeople was utter ****e at it. Pretending you could play shots with "side" and "deep screw". When we played after about 6 pints it just became a ****in thrash everything in sight.
Big Bill Werbeniuk used to have 16 pints before he played. Something to do with a nervous disorder apparently. The **** never looked pished either.
Alex "Hurricane" Higgins Jimmy "Whirlwind" White Then in the 80's Spitting Image came up with one of the most hilarious piss takes on Steve Davis. His manager was thinking of a nickname for Steve. Steve "Slightly Windy" Davis etc......................................before finally settling on Steve "Interesting" Davis. Comic genius. He never lived it down.
Great characters back in them days: Ray Reardon, Terry Griffifths, Cliff Thorburn, Alain Robidueax, Nigel Bond, Tony Drago, Silvino Fransisco, Willie Thorn and who can forget John Virgo and the magnificent Big Break game show.
