An excellent movie of which a serial starts this Sunday. One of my favourite movies it never struck me as summat they could make a serial out of. However, with Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman in it makes me think it's going to be as curious as the original movie.
Netflix job,Little Steven aka Steven Van Zandt.I didn't think I'd like it but got into it and thoroughly enjoyed it,worth a viewing.
Time to resurrect this thread now that we're a couple of episodes in. I'm really enjoying it, but I've never seen the film so I've got nothing to compare it with.
It's not the same story as the film but is a homage to it ... The series is really good so far ... Freeman and Thornton are excellent.
Well that's my tv sorted for tonight then (Lilyhammer wasn't bad btw, at the very least the first season was good)
As Pud said it's an homage to the movie and 2 episodes in it's certainly keeping to the look and feel and black humour of the movie, as well as the music. I did think Freeman was inadvertently losing the Minnesota accent too often. Ya? Ya.
The series starts here this week, I might save it and watch it all in a few sessions so dont any **** tell me what happens, in fact Jip, can you close this thread now ....
