Both teams players will have a bucket and spade in their hands and wearing speedo's with their name and number on, both keepers will be making sand castles in their goal and both managers will have their shades and knotted handkerchiefs on their heads sitting on their deckchairs...
Monk hasn't been offered the job yet so I can imagine he'll treat this game as being just as important as the previous games, not only for the clubs' finishing position but also to strengthen his position as a candidate .I'll be disappointed if we don't see the same performance and commitment levels we've seen recently .
Agree Lurks, I'll be very upset if the players don't give their all. I'm going for a high scoring 2-2.
As entertaining as it would be to see Chico playing at right-back I think we would be asking for trouble
Unless they've kissed and made up with Monk Canas and Pozuelo won't be seeing a Swans shirt any time soon.
I heard the same rumours about Pozuelo being the instigator of the training ground bust-up, being told he'd never play again, and then Alejandro saying that he's taking Michu and Canas with him. In fact, I saw the picture off my friend's phone prior to seeing it on this forum (we won't talk about that here, save it for the other thread). For this reason, I don't think we'll be seeing any of these three pull on a shirt this season again. Maybe Michu, but with his 'injuries' it's hardly worth playing a player who isn't 100% for 2 games that don't even matter in the grand scheme of things. Therefore, my team for tomorrow is: GK - Vorm; DEFENCE (L-R) - Taylor, Ash, Amat, Davies; MIDFIELD - Britton, Shelvey, Hernandez; WINGERS (L-R) - Routledge, De Guzman; ST - Bony. I've put Davies on the right and Taylor on the left. If you're going to give a player a chance in the last few games, give him a chance in his best position. Taylor won't ever be a starting right back for us, we'd sooner buy a specialist than do that, but he's still got a great chance of being our first choice left back. I'd expect to see Fulton, Dyer and Emnes make appearances from the bench and for us to win 3-1. A tight, nervous game where we finally seal the 3 points with a late third.
I see it being more of a 1-0 to us or 1-1. Can't see it being a goal-fest but fingers crossed we'll thrash them.
Saints likely line up: --------------------Boruc------------------ --Clyne-----Lovren---Fonte-------Shaw--- ----------------Wanyama---------------- ---Schneiderlin-------------Cork------- ------------------Davis------------- -----------------Lallana------------- ----------------Lambert--------------- Something like that anyway. If Schneiderlin isn't fit then Davis pushed back, Lallana on the tip of the diamond and Gallagher up front with Lambert. Either way, good luck breaking us down with that midfield!
You just cant tell how this game will go now we are safe, I will wait until the line up is put up before i will predict anything on this game.
Bony's up to speed and on a roll ,no one & I mean no one if they have any sense wants to get in his way
god no way, he would knock you for six. A powerhouse of a player and one of the best headers of the ball i have seen at Swansea for a number of years...
