Got my ticket for Swansea today, praying we're safe for it. We don't get many home games last day and I missed the party against Man U when Citih won the league.

Could be a little fiesta, with Swansea laughing at Cardiff.

Football is unpredictable but some things are certain ............ Sunderland have the things needed at this stage of the season

Destiny is in our own hands, we're not relying on other teams screwing up, how that happened is still not sinking in.
Poyet has engineered a real team spirit although how he's managed that after players revolts, supporters booing the players etc is unbelievable.
We're scoring goals, only failing once in the last 7 games. We've finally, and deservedly, kept a clean sheet!
We have form & confidence whereas Cardiff looked shot on Sunday, Fulham had a demoralising home result and Norwich were battered.
We have a manager who looks confident, the other 3 look like they're pretending to be confident. The Norwich manager couldn't inspire me to drink beer, OGS looks bewildered and Penfold is a fake, I bet he's never even met Danger Mouse.

I'm really pleased Man Utd got all the adrenalin & sentiment out of the way against Norwich.
Whoever they played, after Moyes went & Giggs came in, would've had a difficult afternoon. This match will be different. Giggs admitted there was no real game plan and that he hadn't concentrated too much on tactics.

Poyet has shown against Man City & Chelsea that he can out think the best. We over ran Cardiff by switching Johnson from one side to another and allowing Wickham to drift around the front line, OGS stood there grinning like a child trying to understand a magic show. Giggs will have to be on his toes against Sunderland otherwise the game will quickly pass him by.

Man Utd have lost at home to teams like West Brom, Newcastle & Spurs with the same players they have now.

Our last two away performances, after going behind, give the players the hope that we can get a result even though it will be a tough game.

But we all need to remember that we weren't safe when we beat Cardiff and we won't be doomed if we lose at Old Trafford.

I don't go along with all the 'Newcastle are nailed on to lose against Cardiff' stuff. Cardiff are the bottom team, with a -38 GD, they've recently been thrashed by Palace & Sunderland and will be missing Juan Cala who's been playing well in their defence. He's been charged by the FA, after an incident in the tunnel on Sunday, and may also miss the last game against Chelsea.

Newcastle are on a poor run but the players know they have this last chance to end the season with any dignity.

They'll have their families there, as seems to be the fashion these days for the last home match, and won't want to end their home season being booed off the pitch and, even worse, during the game. The atmosphere will be edgy from the start and the players won't want the anger being directed at them, they'll prefer it to be Pardew and the puppet-master.
The supporters might want us to go down but I doubt the players would deliberately throw a home game. I really doubt they hate Sunderland enough to be beaten at home by the bottom team and go into the summer with that hanging over them.

    Newcastle won't lose that game.
