The council are skint mate and the blues only want to be liable for renting the stadium and not be financial partners in the cost or regeneration of the area, but Everton would pocket the money from the sale of the current site at Goodison.

I mean everton pay for the stadium. Something fairly basic but the council pay for a sports complex on site that allows the public to benefit. everton can pay a fee towards using those facilities but they own the stadium.

    Something like that anyway.

Or just hire none british contractors and get a stadium for a 5th of the price.

Read the previous posts, Everton are 100% in favour of the "City mode" ie let the council pay for and build the stadium, then agree a minimal rent and sign a 100 year lease.

Our board managed to **** up our hospitality income mate, and that was a tent ffs

They're not capable of delivering any form of stadium, Kenwright is a useless bell whiff.

    Shame.

Being northern it would be nice that all major northern cities had the stadia worthy of the clubs we have.

    The north is football.

No disrespect to Everton but they just won't pay for the new stadium and even if they were prepared to pay for a refurb the ground is landlocked in a terraced house area much like we were years ago.

  12. How has that answered my question? <laugh>

I was asking genuinely as I don't know anything about their ground situation.

How does telling you the ground is landlocked by terraced houses not answer the question of whether an extension is a possibility.

There are hundreds of houses around Goodison dev, if they started a campaign now to purchase many of those homes to expand the ground they would face years of court cases etc like we did.

I would have thought the people around Goodison would be eager to sell! Who wants to live next to a public dump?

Chelsea assistant manager Faria has been given a 6 match ban and £30,000 fine after his disgraceful performance in the Sunderland game
