All I need to know is have Wycombe got the ability to beat Torquay? If they have, then Northampton or Bristol Rovers could still fault at the final hurdle.
I need to know before next weeks bets go up I'm thinking of being like Wycombe, either smashing Ron's betting in league in style or getting relegated to the Conference
Two ex Popes made into saints today to be a saint they have to have performed a miracle and so far neither have so there is maybe a chance of that happening next Saturday one can hope as that's all that's left
Anybody out there know who was the last team to come straight back up from the Conference, then again maybe I don't want to know. Maybe Mr Brian Lee can pull a few strings I think he is still involved with the Conference
2003/04 carlisle was relegated from league 2 http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/division-three/2003-2004/table following season 2004/05 carlisle won the play offs and won promotion back to league 2 http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/conference-premier/2004-2005/table following season 2005/06 carlisle was champions of league 2 http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-two/2005-2006/table following season 2006/07 carlisle finished 8th in league 1 http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-one/2006-2007/table following season 2007/08 carlisle finished 4th in the play offs and only missed out of automatic promotion to the championship by just 2 points http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-one/2007-2008/table gone down hill since but relegation to the conference for carlisle seemed to have been the best thing to happen to them!!
no idea! good thing about being in non league is there is no financial fair play rules unlike what league 1 and 2 have. so you can spend what you want and pay whatever wages you want. and once a team gets promoted to league 2, they dont have the exact rules as other league 2 teams. the team who goes up from conference gets given time to fit in to the rules of the financial fair play meaning while other league 2 clubs have rules, the promoted team into league 2 dont. so thats a positive if for a team who gets relegated.
Thanks for that Jack it is ten seasons ago since somebody managed to get back up about time a team did it again
wimbledon only having 3 points deducted is rubbish. there is no punishment. they should have 3 points deducted for the 3 points they won that game and a further 3 points deducted for punishment. should have 6 points deducted not just 3.
http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/260250-Rovers-in-trouble maybe some hope for you as we are at risk of a points deduction. hopefully it wont come down to that but its sad if wycombe have stooped this low to save themselves. hopefully you havent but we have been reported to the FA and it might happen.
why wasnt your safter officer stopping it from happening? he was ever present last season. was he hiding on saturday?
that decision may have got you relegated! surely his wages would cost you less that relegation?? you were going to get 3 points for sure against us as im sure he would have thought of a reason to abandon the game. maybe got the ref to stop things after we scored our 2nd and people got on the pitch then. then the replay you would have won and stayed up and us go down. bad decision getting rid of him. even worse that we didnt think of hiring him to help us out
