Mr Guardiola will be unveiled as the new Chelsea Boss early next week. No I have not started drinking early for the weekend, this is 100% the truth.

I have a good friend who's son works in the city as a chauffeur to the rich and famous, and his latest client has been none other that Pepe's number 2. And this information was leaked during a conversation yesterday. The guys father who I work with is so confident he has placed a bet at betfred of £4000 with odds of 14/1.

Now I am sure many of you will reply to this thread with abuse, but all I will say is I have been given some extremly good tips from this chap in the past, and he is no liar.

Now I am sure some will be thinking why would Pepe leave the best club in the world!! Well two reasons, one because he has done everything he needs to do at Barca, and two imagine if he can go to Chelsea and do what Jose could not, and lift the Champions League!!!

If you wish to slate this article then go ahead, but for the sensible one's amoungst you then do the sensible thing and wack a few quid on Pepe before the odds plumet.

    Good luck for next season............

Don't think it would work out if true. He's had everything on a plate for him ar Barca, spent much of his life there as a youth, player, coach and now manager with an already decent system in place for him to step into. He's got a leading academy setup and all the coaches he could wish for, in reality he could go on holiday for a season and his team would probably still end up winning most of the trophies on offer. If he went to Chelsea, he'd be working under a tyranically demanding chairman with a huge weight of expectation, with a relatively poor academy background and he'd have to play a completely different brand of football which we all know is something he won't compromise. He'd need practically a whole new XI if he wanted to play football the way he did at Barcelona. Seriously doubt this is true but it would be a really stupid appointment in my eyes.

I'm not convinced he would be a success at Chelsea.
Like Loiner said, he would need to change at least 7 first team players. Not that that would be a bad thing.
I also question just how much credit he can personally take for Barca. The whole club has been geared towards what is happening now and he is just another cog in the bigger wheel.

But, I'd still take him over Harry. I mean, for a start, how is Harry gonna take training from his cell in the Scrubs?

My confidence in this rumour is shaken by the fact that Mr Guardiola's first name is not Pepe...

Might not be to Chelsea, but I can only see Guardiola at Barca for one more season...
Maybe try to re-do the treble.

And I can see him trying to leave his stamp on quite a few clubs like Jose, and not commiting himself to a long-term project.

If he doesn't go to Chelsea, first stop...Arsenal or Inter maybe?

I think it's more likely to be Andre Villas-Boas, look at the last Porto manager that Roman took on board!

pepe guardiola for chelsea would be like wenger for arsenal , he has no plan B , but its a weakness rarely exsposed due to the fact that most teams cant stop barcalona's plan A. as far as barca's style of football is conserned , they have the dreamteam for it and an amazing youth setup , barca are doing so well becuse of all there staff and years of investment.

we got rid of our perfect manager in jose , I hope the club learns from there mistakes and stops undermineing managers.

Well done chelsea's newmanager - good shout <applause>

xun - At £13m compensation I would like to think we have him for the long haul - also seems Guus will not be part of the Chelsea plans in the Dof F role, opting to stay on with Turkey

I think people forget that Barca's dominance now came as a result of long term planning. They won nothing between 2000-2005.

And spending a shed load of cash on players to supplement their home grown talent. Ronaldinho, Figo, Villa, Ibra, Deco, Eto, Henry etc...

I can think of better ways to have wasted £4k. You could've had Rooney's hooker three and a half times for that...
