I'm sure you know that is the date for the last Prem game of the season! Many of you know I have some very good friends up in Sunderland, I will be at the Stadium Of Light to watch them play Swansea, we then all meet up in a pub at around 6.30 pm then we're booked in for an Indian meal for 7.30 pm. My request is what message would you like me to pass on to them, bearing in mind, they will have performed a miraculous escape by then and we, in all probability, will have fallen through the trap-door! Keep it clean and be gracious, I have told them on numerous occasions that Norfolk folk are kind and tolerant. Don't let me down!
What can I say? They were down and when they left CR after a 2-0 anhialation coupled with a 5-1 battering by Tottenham it was a case of which two would join them in going down. To take 4 points from Man City and Chelsea both away was unbelievable and then to overwhelm a near rival (Cardiff) was a series of remarkable achievements. Fair play and well done, but the important thing is to step up next year and make a significant improvement because to simply go through the same process again is pointless and make this recovery a waste of a season.
I`m not knocking it but weird that our spiritual leader CanaryDave is watching Sunderland instead of his own team, hopefully you will jinx them too..
It was arranged months ago when I was convinced we'd be ok, we always arrange it at least three months in advance so I get cheaper rail tickets!
Where there's a will and all that Dave. Sounds like a good day out in the offing mate. It's a little hard to pat them on the back at the moment in the circumstances, as it's us who will be making way for them. They have done remarkably well, showing some spirit at the right time, something we were abjectly unable to do. Fair play to them.
My difficulty with all things is that I'm a cash only customer, not had a bank account for years, I'm useless with money, so if I stick to cash, when it's gone it's gone, I go hungry till pay day!
QPR fan here, I can't believe that you're accepting your demise so passively when you've got two games left and are just goal difference away from 17th! Whatever about the Chelsea game you can still get enough from the arsenal game to keep your hopes alive. As pointed out Sunderland got four points from Chelsea and Man C, can't see why you can't believe you can get something from your season. We would have been ecstatic last season to have been in your position with two games to go.
I don't think we've lost ALL hope, GC. Pretty much all of us are simply choosing to be realistic about it. We're still very much behind the team for the last two games.
If you lose to Chelsea at the weekend, and Sunderland lose their next two matches, a win for them against Swansea will probably be the win that relegates you.
Being realistic, if we lost to West Brom, Fulham (both of whom I believe were below / level with us at the time) and away at Swansea, where's the genuine expectancy to get anything from Chelski or Arsenal? Sadly, there isn't too much flying around.
Merely pointing out the possible dynamics of the match that Dave will be attending with his Sunderland mates.
Water off a ducks back to you isn't chap. Do you support norwich or just enjoy writing on forums in general?
I'm going adopt the demeanor of our recently departed manager and say that the other teams are far better than us and have more quality, whilst also sapping the confidence out of our players and making them feel inferior even before the match has started and making them feel like they just are not good enough to compete.
Bloody prawn sandwich brigade, it's not that long ago they were restricted to Stamford Bridge, now they get get everywhere - even Roker Park
