    Disagree completely - 1) He has done it for one season out of four so far, not good enough when you are on shed loads a week (maybe he should hand back his wages - give to charity, for when he was inside) 2) He does deserve a new contract but on reduced wages and not 5 years, not sustainable - what happens in 3 years time when he is a back up player and on all this money? 3) Also its nothing to do with MA being a tight arse, its called running a business, we have known for a long time now that we have a salary cap and though MA cannot do owt about the current contracts he can about new/renewing contracts

    Hmmm my prediction of the 3 amigos leaving is still looking possible then. I reckon Pardew is waiting on Jose but if he won't sign then they'll all go and be replaced by 3 (more) des amis
