Play Wilson infront of solly and Harriott on the left and bingo quality performance best of the season when we needed it . Well pleased for Harriott showed his worth 2 great goals and terrorised their defence all game
We have just won two matches against teams with nothing to play for. We weren't so hot against Blackburn who did have something to play for. Interesting to see how we do against Blackpool.
I thought before the game that if Watford were up for it we'd lose. Well I thought Watford were up for it, and we won. Against Blackpool we'll be the team with nothing to play for. I was especially pleased with the players who scored; Jacko rose to the occasion like I've been expecting him to do for several games now. Harriott's two cracking goals and his all-round play give me hope that he is finally stepping up to this level and hopefully there will be a lot more to come. Cousins can revert to his natural position once Poyet has gone and the next manager will have the task of getting in some decent strikers and creativity in midfield. It's been a pretty horrible season but I suppose all's well that ends well and it was a euphoric Valley last night. I can go on holiday now without worrying about Blackpool.
What a horrible cynical side Watford were. I will be giving Blackpool a miss on Saturday now we are safe.
I'll still go, but with travel arrangements I must admit it crossed my mind to give it a miss! Only a 8 hour round trip.
Why was the compere making such a fuss about the Wigan/Brum result? A win saw us safe regardless of Brum losing, but he was going on as if our safety was still in doubt. Anyway, it was a fine win against a decent, but dirty, Watford side. Harriott answered his critics with two super goals, Jackson was tireless and calming, Solly and Wilson solved the right-side dilemma, and Poyet added a couple of digits to his next contract. Big congratulations go to Jose Riga. It wasn't always pretty, but the results speak for themselves. COYR!
It makes me worn out with Charlton ! Said my goodbyes last night & gave Jose a good cheer for a job well done.
