Or, in executive summary, we have lost the last 6 games in pathetic fashion.

we have had some poor managers at Newcastle but no one has done that in modern times.

Add to that the fact that Pardew blames everyone... publically....
Hell's teeth even Fat Sam took responsibility.

Not really. I can see why it is viewed like it is from the outside. They see the lack of investment. Investment and wage bills in the PL generally correlates directly with the success of the team on the pitch. They see Pardew as hamstrung by a lack of investment which we all know he has been.

Many of our supporters are a bit unrealistic to me too. They are a bit stupid at times. (I don't think we're alone in this regard, all clubs are the same) I mean I look at the chanting of HBA's name at games and it makes me laugh at our support I must admit. They are chanting for the one player who is taking the piss out of them more than any other in the club. Neville and Carragher see a club comfortably in mid table on a championship budget, and think why can't the fans grasp that this is where they are as a club?
They simply misunderstand what the unrest is about. Its about more than a lack of investment, probably 50% have grown to just accept that. When supporters are subjected to year after year of a club not really trying to progress, it eventually grinds on them and they start to vent. However when there is a manager who crumbles under pressure and has no clue how to arrest poor runs of form, who does not have a particularly likeable character, gives poor interviews, struggles to accept criticism, then he is going to get it from the support. Then when you consider they have long since given up on trying to vent at a rhino skinned owner, then the vitriol is probably going to increase ten fold on the manager.

They are looking at things from purely an outsiders perspective. What they are failing to take on board is the detail. The points you make above are really only taken on board once you are taking an interest in all things Newcastle on a daily basis. Its not great from them but unless they were genuine Newcastle supporters I think they'll struggle to grasp the whole picture. So the opinion they are paid to give is based on skeleton information.

Even the Arsenal fans joined in on the Pardew out chants.

When they were making their own chants about the scoreline, our guys chanted back, 'Spurs scored four'.

I am proceeding on the theory that MA has decided to sack Pardew immediately after the last game of the season. This will allow him to advance the following (and just about only) selling point when tryint to sing a decent manager to work for him:

"Unlike at virtually any other major club in the world, you will be given a fair opportunity to implement your plans. Look at Pardew: I gave him 3 and a half seasons. Even when he lost 7 in a tow I didn't sack him. Only at NUFC will you be safe from a knee jerk reaction should two or three or four results go badly for you."

I am proceeding on this theory because every other theory is just too depressing

Or he could just stick the nail in even further and keep him on for next season. Ashley is well known to be a vindictive bastard and he hasn't forgotten the fallout from the Keegan sacking. Hope i'm wrong but I have a feeling Pardew is gonna be around for a long time to come.

Vindictive but not one to place his investments at risk.

If we finish the season on a run of 8 straight losses (which seems likely) he will realise that keeping Pardew at the helm is likely to result in the loss of premiership status, which is something that he cares deeply about.

If he is around for much longer I think Ashley may find a lot of empty spaces in the ground as a lot of people are at the end of their tether.

Remember the season under Bobby,Ferguson said if Bellamy hadn't got injured we could have won it and correct me if I'm wrong wasn't that the season Bergkamp scored that fantastic goal in SJP,we used to give Arsenal a game in those days!

Of course if Cabaye hadn't been sold, Cisse could score goals, Remy hadn't been out for 7 games and the grass was greener we would have been in 5th place this season.

You'd expect the players we have got to show a little bit of pride and passion at least.

A pay per performance might make them try that little bit harder.

If my auntie had a mickey she'd be my uncle. No that's not what I meant,we can't even give anyone a game this year.I know Remy scored our goals this year but between injuries/suspensions not worth the risk,he jumped ship the moment QPR offered more money. That old chestnut manager has lost the dressing room, can't answer that but 4 or 5 lads had world cup ambitions and if their managers are watching on current form they have no chance. If you had a chance to play in world cup wouldn't you try to play out of your skin, doesn't look like it with our players and I can't say who's at fault there?

Sit back and watch it on TV in the comfort of your own home with a drop of the black stuff in your hand.
