I second that - one of my favourite horses ever and it would be nice to finish like that

That's one of the most impressive Punchestown bumper winners I have ever seen! Remember his name for next March.

Agreed. Trained by Dermot Weld, one of the best Irish trainers of all time.

I am absolutely flabbergasted that VERY WOOD is 9/2 tomorrow. Bizarre to me that he is not the favourite!

We'll be taking each other on then Stick because I've backed Beat That and would be genuinely shocked if he loses.

Had a good time at Punchestown today but not punting wise, only managed to get the Weld bumper winner who was imperious looking and look's a very good horse and had one placed horse at 12/1 so not much to write home about. Bitterly disappointed for connections of Ma Chara who took a really bad fall when going upsides Be Positive in the opener, I know the breeder and trainer fairly well and they were desperate to win with him today and may well have but for that fall and to make matters worse I'm not sure the horse has made it through or not as he was in distress in front of the stands and had to be taken by the Horse ambulance, I haven't read any news re his well being yet but I don't think it's too good.

Faugheen was very special looking, looked lovely in the parade ring and couldn't have impressed more than that in the race. Sgt Reckless also caught the eye in the parade ring , he look's a nice scopey type who I imagine will make a good chaser one day. Sizing Europe showed there was life In the old dog yet and was applauded home by everyone as no one could deny him the victory, what a warrior he has been and what a time he's given Andy Lynch and connections, well done ol' boy.

Can't believe we let the Mullins one go unbacked in the Landrover bumper <wah> another nice performance.

All in all a good fun day with lovely weather and getting too watch some of the new superstars of the jump scene is always a pleasure and look forward to following them al for many years to come.

Oooh, Punchestown is difficult, for me anyway. Very high-class racing, will just watch and enjoy the rest of the week though.
Good luck to all having wagers, and I wish all those going there during the week 'a great day out and successful punting'. <ok>
