If arsenal confirm 4th spot as theirs this weekend they will surely put a weekend team out against norwich with them having the cup final a week later. This concerns me a little as i can see norwich beating them if this is the case.
Norwich's form stinks at the moment. Man Utd, Liverpool, Fulham, West Brom & Swansea have all beaten them, some heavily, in the last 5 games. I think Norwich will be down & out after Chelsea batter them tbh. They might scrape a draw even if Arsenal play the kids. Besides West Brom will beat Arsenal so they're safe when they come to the SOL and Arsenal will have to win
i agree with this 100% anything can still happen to any of us down at the bottom ,they could beat chelsea and arsenal unlikely ,but so was our results its football ,unpredictable
This is my worry too. And arsenal don't have a great record anyway at carrow road. On the flip side there might be players who could force there way into the cup final starting line up so theyll be looking to impress. Fabianski Jenkinson Vermaelin Monreal Flamini Rosicky All second stringers who if fit could play.
norwich have been gash for a while. even with a weakened team i would expect arsenal to win it. that being said its been a funny old season and anything can happen. best best man utd and west brom and leave no doubt
With Ramsey and Ozil just back, I really think Wenger rolls them and the rest of the first team out for at least 60-70 minutes, or, until a win is secured. They're fresh and Arsenal, predictably, look great with them back in the side. No reason to go with all the young reserves. Giroud is one who may be rested tho, as reinforcements at striker are in short supply. I've read the sentiments of the OP several different places in the lsat 24 hours, which means it's becoming conventional wisdom. Which is good, because conventional wisdom is almost always wrong...just ask the bookies.
I couldn't give a toss about the others. We will survive on our own merits inc beating Man U this weekend.
I don't think he will play a weakened team, even if he did, surely they would be too strong for Norwich still.
The only way norwich will beat arsenal is if they have a chance of staying up, sending Villa down instead. That's something i'd like to see happen.
I think most of us would too! Realistically, I don't think many of our lot expect our fate to be in our own hands by the Arsenal game, and even if it is, we're unlikely to take it. Chelsea will no doubt batter us so we don't even have a slightly better goal difference to help us. Whilst it's true we've had some good games against Arsenal of late, they've generally come when we've been in a bit of form. Right now we're in terrible shape, with a fragile defence and blunt attack. Surviving now would be nothing short of miraculous I fear.
Nah! a couple of points : 1. any "kids" that may play will want a place in the final team 2. remember wolves being charged with fielding a weakened side 3. Norwich really are poor (still cant believe we got beat off them) 4, Norwich are ****e 5. Arsenal may well not have 4th spot secure by this time 6. Norwich are ****ing awfull 7. see above 8. not worried by this scenario at all
Regardless of what Arsenal do against Norwich - we have to make sure we secure our premier league spot ourselves. We don;t have to rely on anyone else at the moment - we have 2 "winnable" home games and winning these would keep us in the PL - regardless of what Norwich or Arsenal do
I agree we must win our games and forget about others but were sunderland and we never do things the easy way
We sometimes do but people forget those times, just my opinion like ........ last Sunday's probably a decent example.
