I absolutely cant stand Van Gaal. I dont want this arrogant aloof ego maniac anywhere near my club. Id instead have Ron Atkinson with his jewels and sunbed back in an instant rather than appoint this fool Van Gaal. At Barcelona he fell out big time with Rivaldo, Luis Figo and Riquelme. At Bayern he insisted on playing two clown centre-backs (DeMichelis and Van Buyten) and its no wonder Diego Milito took them to task in the 2010 Champions League final.

David Moyes is a nice man but the Manchester United job was too big for him. Appointing Van Gaal with the luggage he brings would be on par with Liverpools appointment of Souness in 1991 - An absolute disaster which would set the club back severely from which it would be difficult to recover

As far as im concerned Van Gaal can stick to his gay prides events

Because if Manchester United appoint this idiot then God help us

No idea who that guy is. Seen tge name though.

Massive pile of **** he wrote though.

When all the info about van gaal is available how do so many have no clue and just spout bollocks about him?

He falls out with people who dont pull their weight or dicatate to him what will happen.

Rivaldo told van gaal he wouldnt play wide left....

Van gaal made sure he didnt. He stuck him on the bench. No more wide left for Rivaldo.

    For me that is brilliant.

Can I just say, **** off Gary Neville.

Fast becoming an embarrassment. United should go British..... Why? Tradition? Having a beer or 40 used to be tradition too Gary...

Neville is delusional if he thinks we will find another fergie. theres a reason we were the most successful club for 20 years ( well, ever ) and thats because we had a once in a life time manager ( well 2 ).

The current crop of british managers are terrible in the main.

    When did he says this?

Truth is, there aren't any suitable British managers and that's the end of it. I'm no big fan of van Gaal myself, I think considering the length of his career his success rate is not that brilliant.

What he could do with us though is steady the ship and oversee in coming players and I also think he'd get us to the promised land of at least fourth, with a good league challenge the following season.
I don't see him as long term though and hopefully someone like Klopp or maybe even Giggs will be able to pick up when he inevitably falls out with someone of two or three years time.

The bookies still have him top priced 2/9 to be next manager, and they're usually quite clued up on this type of thing. As there would be big money coming for some of the other candidates if there was a reported collapse

This is my thinking. van Gaal is the ideal man to correct the mistakes of last season. Giggs, Klopp or others are for when they have sound foundations that were not dismantled in part by Mr Moyes.

hes been saying it for weeks ruff. Every change he gets he mentions the traditions etc etc...

He's probably enjoying the photos of football stars eating bananas a little too much.

He needs to realise things have moved on, there's not a conveyor belt of decent Scottish managers out there. Long term I would be delighted if Giggs were to be manager but he needs to have some grounding on what it's all about first.

This is where van Gaal scores highly, he would give him that. Regardless of his nationality.

Exactly, if Giggs is going to become manager one day then a few years working under a top manager like Van Gaal would be great experience for him. To get the job now though is far to soon, that's why I'm hoping the Van Gaal deal is confirmed soon, before Giggs wins any more games. As I don't want to see a wave of support for Giggs meaning he gets the job next season, as it's far to much of a risk putting Giggs in charge based on 4 good performances against sides below us in the table:biggrin:

If Giggs got the job and messed it up theres a good chance he could slightly tarnish his reputation. At least with the younger fans who never got to see Giggs in full flow.

Let him learn under someone like van Gaal who has helped some of the worlds best managers as well as players. Giggs can only benefit from this.

The matches against the lower placed have in general not been a problem. Moyes for all his perceived problems had no problems. It is against the top teams that the manager proves his mettle. Fergie, Maureen and other top class managers have shown their ability. Moyes and Brenda have failed when faced with a tactical problem posed by a top manager.

I too didn't want VG to replace Fergie but where we are now we could do worse than him. Giggs is far too inexperienced and not ready to face the likes of Maureen <ok>.

Gigg's is about the same age as the manager who is probably going to win the league this year. ;) [assuming City screw up]
