...... and be the team that's spent the most time in the bottom 3 yet still stayed up? I'm no good on stats but wonder if any team has spent almost the entire season in the bottom 3 as we have.
Demolished Jose mourinho's 77 unbeaten home record with Chelsea! Think west brom 04/05 only side to avoid relegation whilst bottle of the table at Xmas.
Chances are we will mate but not by much. I've said since before Christmas that the Cardiff match would be the one to see us safe and I was wrong. I now believe we'll stay up on the last day by a point or even goal difference which, thankfully, is worth a point. I keep a nightmare of Swansea going ahead before we pull it back and escape
It's fairly straight forward actually http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/...ate=1398639600000&tableView=CURRENT_STANDINGS 1. You click on that link. 2. You change the season to 1992/93 and make sure the month is set to May. 3. You click on the team name of the team(s) just above the relegation zone and it shows you a graph of their positions through the season. 4. Repeat for each season, it will take you roughly 5 minutes. Great site for historical team stats that Bri
Newcastle need to do us a favour and beat Cardiff. Only time I will be cheering on the black and white. Survival is paramount, need to put aside rivalries and hope they help us out.
Think we must hold the reverse of this record ie least bottom three time and be relegated. In 1997 we touched 18th place on just two occasions, unfortunately the second time was the last day of the season. If memory serves we only dropped to 18th at 14:40pm when Wimbledon scored in the 80th minute to beat us 1-0.(was that the year Coventry had a delayed last day kick off at Spurs?) At the time those 40 pts was the record for most gained and still relegated.
Oi! Less of the **** Why not, that's how I think I use that site often, Still can't be arsed. Cheers fella
Yep Yep And Yep My eggs have not hatched yet so I am certainly not counting any chickens. Let's start the counting next Sunday!
Just don't lose to them - that'll be fine. If the mags don't lose then that's good for us - Cardiff will still be a point behind with a game to play (we'll have 2 - and that's assuming we get nothing at OT) Norwich to lose and Fulham and Cardiff fail to win next weekend then, even if we lose at OT, a win on the Wednesday would guarantee our survival
