Barca have apparently signed Matts Hummels fro Dortmund. Got to feel sorry for them, every year they lose yet another star player. Last year Goetze, then Lewandowski on a free and now Hummels.

Lallana has proved he's good enough. Would be much better off the bench than Moses... or starting ahead of Lucas in matches like Sunday's.

 

If we were to sell Lucas and Aspas to fund a move for Lallana I would be all for it.

I'd only sell Lucas to buy another central midfielder...He's too slow playing where he is but Gerrard isn't going to play every game next year so unless we find another HM?DM/Controller call it what you will we'll need Lucas for those other games.

Edit...He's played across the three and behind them at times for the saints this year so he'd be fine. Not sure I'd spend 20m of our actual pot on him...only if we dump those players

 

Big yes, from me.

He would be a great replacement for a tired or injured Coutinho. With Europe beckoning we need two complete teams ... and good ones, with interchangeable players. Lallana would be tailor made for the Coutinho berth. Also, he could come on for Sterling when we need guile over pace (although Sterling has plenty of that, too), and need to play in a slightly less direct manner. He's definitely a Rodgers signing: technically good, two-footed, can play in a variety of positions well and has a good work ethic.

I'd take Shaw, too, but have a feeling he's going to Man Utd or Chelsea. Left back has to be our main target this window, surely. Unless Enrique is fit, we have no dedicated (rather than make-shift) LB.

 

I would take Lallana for £15m. £20m plus is ridiculous for a 25 year old who has only played well for one season. We can get better for that amount.

We have been linked with Romulo who I think would be quite low cost.

Lallana could be very useful in many situations.
