With Rio, Vidic and Evra on the way out he'll have to spend the "warchest " on defenders and you'll be shackled with the Cleverley's and Young's etc next season.
I truly hope whoever your manager next season is agrees, I'd love to see you guys persist with Phil Jones
What Rio wants LVG might not, the arrogant **** instigated the players against agent Moyes and stated he wanted out.
They should be looking to shift all the players that stood up against Moyes but then, one of them is manager ATM
So would I, he is 20 years old and is already a good centre half. After watching Sakho against Chelsea you should be very worried if Brendan persists with him.
Strange thing to state when you are more or less out of contract, not exactly putting pressure on the club when they haven`t offered you a new one.
Looks like LVG doesn't want him and the boys of 92 and Utd are trying their best to keep Giggs and his mates there, if the Dutch feller ends up ****ing them off they'll have Giggs for the foreseeable future.
Sakho is a good player. He is also young but he's new to this league. Nor is he our first choice. A fairer comparison would be Jones vs Coates
Yeah your right, that was a quarter though, Chelsea and Liverpools 4th meeting in the CL in so many years. It was Barca they met in the semi's that year. Avram Grant was there for the 3rd meeting which was a semi too, that's probably where I'm getting all confused. But your right the 4-4 was Hiddink
Wumming aside Diego, Van Gaal has a reputation for not taking fools lightly and it obviously won't have escaped his attention that Rio is a disruptive influence and that he had a major part in Moyes not getting the backing of the players, I'd reckon Rio won't get what he wants but LVG might just use him for his debut season due to having less defensive options than in other positions.
**** me, young he may be, but he is certainly not a good centre half. He may well end up good enough but can you afford to play him whilst he learns.
As quality a player as Rio was (I know some will disagree there), he's always had too big an opinion and ego IMO. Any incoming manager should be looking to shift him on, Evra too.
