Our 13 match win streak in 2002 that led us to the title remains as the best consecutive win streak in the EPL. Liverpool may yet still win the title, and I think they will, but BLIMEY some Liverpudians have been talking absolute dog ****e, for example John Barnes who said if Liverpool win the title, it would be the greatest ever title win in EPL history, yeah because you know winning the title unbeaten wasn't right up there. Nonetheless, having said all that, as strong as Liverpool's run has been, still wasn't enough to eclipse our 13 win streak, which BTW, included a not too bad title winning match AT Old Trafford. So much for being 'the greatest ever EPL title victory in it's history'.
Wait, they actually thought this scouse team was more impressive than the invincibles? They're really comparing a team that can't defend and relies on 1 man to the greatest team of the modern era? Ouch
Yes sir, see for yourself: https://en-maktoob.news.yahoo.com/w...-league-s-greatest-ever-160923511-soccer.html
In their minds, you can bet they think they're on par with Bayern, and better than the Barca team of 2009-2011.
Btw our total win streak was 14, 13 for the 2001-2002 season, with the 14th coming at the start of the 2003 season. Damn we were amazing back then, making records here and there, we had another great record of scoring in something like 52 consecutive games, then the 14 run win streak, then in 2004 we did the unbeaten, then made the record of 49. We breaking records for fun!
So far they won nothing. Man City will take the title and this Liverpool run will look like a pointless ( pun not intended) and insignificant blip.
