I can see another twist before the seasons over. Perhaps Villa being dragged in further?

Before the Hull game Fulham had a 90% chance of staying up. After the game we have a 45% chance of staying up only if we beat Stoke away. A draw would make it 15%. A loss 0%.

Well, if Sunderland can win one more, then we absolutely have to win the last two games: them, Norwich and Cardiff are the only teams we can possibly finish above with just 34pts. I think they'll lose to a resurgent Man Utd at the weekend, but then West Brom and Swansea, both at home, will probably result in at least one win. It's hard to see Sunderland losing all the way from here (although a draw and two defeats for them would do us just as well).

If we do win two games, Villa would need 2pts from Hull at home, Man City away and Spurs away. The Hull game looks like their best chance. If they don't win that, they could well slip below us. West Brom just need a point from Arsenal away, Sunderland away and Stoke at home.

So we're very unlikely to finish above both Sunderland and West Brom, but if we can do our part we've a reasonable chance of finishing above one of them. Villa is a more like scapegoat for us, but all of those scenarios (other than a Sunderland collapse) require us to win the last two games with no room for error.

I think that puts it in the 'unlikely but doable' category. Less than a 50-50 chance, but it wouldn't take freak results to make it happen. We need Hull and Arsenal to come through for us this weekend.

Captain if we fail to win against Stoke is over...

I can't see Sunderland going wrong and have some easy games. The 4 points they picked against Chelsea and City will save them. In contrast we failed to pick 2 points against Hull.

I think is over. Going to Stoke to support the lads but really can't see us escaping this time. Too many mistakes across all leves this season. We deserve it to be honest!

I think I said that, didn't I? If Sunderland get one more win (which I think they will), we have to win both of our games to have any chance. At least we know what we have to do!

More like Forlorn Hope. The ultimate in #Fulhamish.

Yes, I'd heard Nietzsche was supporting FFC in the early days - Was he from Kaiserslautern, DR?
Sure he'd have something to say on #KeepTheFaith.

'Stand up if you don't believe in a coherent sense of objective truth and that the values of any community are not as important as the collective will to see those values come to pass '. I'm not sure it's as catchy as our version.

I'm not sure where Nietzsche was from, but I know it wasn't K-town. If he was from here, his face would be our city's symbol. Instead we have a fish - I think a sturgeon. Rather than his philosophy, we could use a few of his übermensch to get us out of this situation.

My only other contribution to the Nietzsche debate is to observe that he wasn't very keen on doing the hoovering. Apparently Nietzsche abhors a vacuum. I'll get me coat.

Nietzsche was born in Röcken-bei-Lützen, which at the time was in the Kingdom of Prussia.

The man himself - if his fizzog was everywhere in town DR they'd have to extend the shield out for the moustache.

I wouldn't totally lose heart as a Sunderland fan I once watched us score 3 own goals at home against Charlton and watched us implode a million times. I love the run we are on but honestly I wouldn't have a clue how many points we would get in the next 4 games be it 0 or 12 its been that kind of season!!! Im hoping for 6 but do think 3 will keep us up maybe, 4 with more belief.

I can't see you losing all your games Benixio. 3 of which are at home. I think you are safe. We need 3 points at Stoke. Then 3 at home to Palace.

I think we are down together with Norwich and Cardiff.

Even if we win the next 2 games we need the others to loose points. For me the crucial games where the season was lost were against Cardiff and Swansea... We managed to get nothing out of these games and now paying the price! On top, the result and performance against Hull demonstrated clearly what our season has been about!

I am going to Stoke as this is the Fulhamish thing to do I suppose. Will celebrate if we win and finally stay up but last Saturday's result has trimmed any optimism that was left!

    As ever Come on Fulham!
