Thought the season started on Saturday after you beat Norwich?

  2. Sorry, but top of the league with two games to go and only difference is of concern? Not our best chance in 24 years? I appreciate what you're saying but we are still very much in with a shout. Its certainly not over unless you're pessimistic and expect the worse!

It's not over until it's over.

There's still plenty of football to be played and plenty of potential for 'upsets' to occur.

We could beat or draw with City, equally you could drop points at Palace, who knows?

It'd be good to see the title race go into the last game with 3 possible outcomes.

That's just totally true and thanks for saying it.

If people think back to when we started to even believe that we might win the title, it was totally predicated upon winning a shed number of games. Just look how close that winning streak has taken us. Even now we are second favourites but not by much. All things are possible

BTW apologies for yesterday emotion got the better of me.

No worries mate, I probably deserved it <laugh>

I think it's only natural that there's massive disappointment over the result yesterday, as if you'd have won it was virtually your title and the build up to the game was one of expectation imo, which given your home form this season was understandable.

But as you rightly say, now is the time to look at it with a sense of perspective, as win or lose from here, you've still done far better than you'd have dreamed of back in August.

I think Everton could at least grab a draw. Merseyside united. Come on guys!

As I said elsewhere... all Everton fans and players are secretly Liverpool fans in denial. They want us to win as much as we do. They're going to pull through for us! :)

I still see you winning it. Chelsea need a miracle, both you and City won't slip up. But I think City will. There's something about them this season that smacks of complacency, will not be surprised if Everton turn them over. You have the points in the bag, games against teams with nothing to play for, and a better team ethic. And still a feeling of destiny.

Thanks Ealing... I too think City will slip up. If not Everton- than against one of the two teams who are BOTH fighting for survival.

The trick is for us to win our games. It will show the mental toughness (or lack) of our squad. They need to rebound and win. Drop points against either and it is almost certainly over.

Amusing how no-one wants to stand confident and say "we are the favourites". When Chelsea was on the pole- Mourinho constantly played down his chances as if they had no chance. Rodgers didn't deny being favourites- when we were on top- but didn't blow any horns.

Now, Pellegrini has come out and said that City are not favourites to win. Everyone wants to be the underdog.

We've got three underdogs going for the title here- and no horses.
