Glad you got your ticket Party You must have been towards the end of the Q as I got mine 3:20 Q seemed to slow down movement wise for some reason from about 1pm Everything's aching like mad this morning.
Yeah I was more or less precisely that time. When I got there the back of the queue, when I finally found it, was past the reception and near the north stand. I was 50/50 on not bothering and doing it another time, a lot of people did exactly that. But I'm glad I stuck with it and got it.
Yeah I left it a bit late really, but I wrongly assumed it might be quick! Oh dear. I limped back home in the end, one of my toes felt like it was going to explode. Very strange. Take it easy today Filo!
Because I have morals, Hatty. It's just not the done thing. I also didn't leave a sunbed overnight with my towel on it. We love a queue in this country, and it was worth the backache.
not looking forward to phase 3 on thursday, anybody have any idea what time would be good to start queuing? anyone else going for phase 3 on thursday?
........ well done party, should have realised you wouldn't take the offer up with you having good morals . Though I did tell those around me my bloody brother was suppose to be coming with me and the lazy git must have slept in or left it to me.
Yes planning to drive up from London and overnight in Hull - don't particularly want to overnight in the queue. Might start at about 6am? I have Club Wembley tickets as a fallback but would rather get tickets via the club and try to help to sing us to victory.
really dont want to be there for 10+ hours but an fa cup final doesnt happen everyday. think ill rock up at the kc on wednesday night and see what the queue is like
Do you really think so? Maybe I won't bother then and just accept I've paid Club Wembley prices. Forecast for rain Weds/Thurs. Hmm ... Surely 5-7,000 people won't all be camping out? Anyway ticket office reckon they can only process 4,000 per day which should leave some for the 2nd day of phase 3, but presumably it will be impossible to get through on the phone.
I was under the assumption that the 25k included the tickets we give out as corporates/staff etc, add that to the season pass holders and I don't think there'll be 5-7k left by Thursday.
Corporates are included in the 18000 pass holders figure but I don't know how they're treating those with boxes with regards how many tickets they get. I can't see there being a mammoth amount of staff getting tickets either a hundred or two maybe but not a substantial number I wouldn't have thought. I reckon there will be nearer 7k tickets than 5k but that's just guesswork. Also, if you're hoping on getting in on the 2nd day of phase 3, I'd still suggest turning up on Wednesday. Not many will leave the queue just because the ticket office has shut for the day, and I bet they'd keep it open as late as possible anyway. It would be pretty cruel to leave people queuing outside an extra night without doing everything they possibly can to get as many seen to. I know it's people's own choice to queue but it's their system that's leading people into it, I think there should have been a bit more of a priority system for non passholders regarding other games attended rather than going to the semi being the only requirement. It would have helped those more deserving of a ticket to get one and kept this inevitable huge overnight/2 night queue by splitting that group up into smaller sections. I guess a number of those queuing will be queuing for their 2nd ever football match.
That was an estimate from the ticket office themselves, although admittedly that's a couple of days old.
What's been happening so far? Have they been stopping people joining the queue at a certain time, or keeping open until there's no queue or what?
Yesterday they let people join the que up to about 5 I think. When I got my tickets at 7 there was only about 30 people behind me but they did stop a few people joining then...they would have only needed to que about 30 mins! I should have turned up at 5ish and took 2 hours of my standing around bored time.
Cheers thanks for that. I suspect, though, Thursday will be mayhem so there may be hundreds if not thousands disappointed at end of play.
