Was listening to 606 and a York fan was praising Pope so when Hamer goes reckon he could be our number 1 next season so no need to strengthen there.
Hopefully the powers that be agree and pope our keeper for the foreseeable future.

Pope kept seven clean sheets in a row for York, and their manager Nigel Worthington was quoted as saying he would love to sign him. fat chance, IMO. The old coaching staff at Charlton rated Pope very highly, all he needed was the experience he is now getting and then we could potentially have a top class home grown keeper on our hands. The first since Rob Elliott <ok>( ok, maybe not).

I am tired of Hamer's histrionics and attitude. The errors and bad kicking are one thing, but the bloke seems to be a huge prima Donna, on and off the field.

I've posted about him several times over the last couple of years. Now I want him to get the No. 1 jersey ASAP, and an improved contract so no-one comes sniffing around when he starts to attract more attention (he's still got 2 years to go btw). We will still need to strengthen though. Phillips will have to do what Pope has done and go out on loan and Hamer might not be happy as our reserve goalie, so we'll need a journeyman keeper as back-up to Pope.

With the likes of Pope and Fox coming through, a few others and Cousins Poyet and Harriott all in the starting squad I'm looking forward to next season. Having Pope as no1 would be ideal, not only could he be better then the clowns we currently have but also his wages would be a fraction of hamers <ok>
The future is bright...provided we can keep them!

What pissed me off with Hamer on Saturday was when he let that soft first goal in he pretended to be injured. I agree with Vol he is a prima Donna and I hope they don't give him a new contract. Pope is a better keeper.

Hamer could get a role in Crossroads, his acting was so bad.

I think it was against Derby recently when we conceded through a defensive mix-up he did his usual bawling-out of whoever it was, then walked back to retrieve the ball from the back of the net. It was at the Charlton supporters' end, and he was shaking his head so theatrically that there was a danger of it falling off.

Hamer did exactly the same thing at Brighton, after his "hospital pass" to Poyet led to their first goal. I watched as he ran to bawl out Poyet, then Morrison, then Wilson. At which point Jackson ran back from the half way line, and told Hamer to grow up FFS.

    Ur too late.

We are either signing him or the lad from Southend. If you can afford his wages fat paddy is available though.

Good luck with signing him. I think you'll have more luck with Southend <ok>

That said I am looking forward to seeing Alan McCormack in the Championship. That's my sole motive for wanting to stay up.

Brentford I think. He wasn't near enough to the Oxo tower at Swindon <ok>

Could this explain his sudden burst of energy? The bloke behind me thinks he should be drugs-tested.

Clearly now putting on a show & playing for a contract. Must know via his agent that scouts are watching him.
