mixed feelings, i dont mind being moved for tv usually..but theres certian games that shouldnt be moved.., 1st day of the season, should always be a saturday at 3pm, in same way boxing day should always be 3pm...
Surely you should be more flattered that our game was judged the best to open the championship campaign? From a neutral point of view you would have thought it would have been Cardiff v West Ham?
I thought it would be TWS v Saints, as it always seems to be TWS, though they are the Saturday televised game.
Agree, its a tradition that should be kept sacred, finishing work Friday, home and a few beers eagerley awaiting kick off time. Now its gonna be rush home, get changed, rush out, try and sneak a quick pint in before kick off
Hopefully we'll leave more of a lasting impression on the tv cameras than we did last season! Should be a good game if Blackpool keep to the way they played last season, would be nice if the beeb maybe showed as well.
Lost revenue for the club though - fewer Blackpool fans will travel to a night game and probably fewer home fans if televised.

But it gets us off to an early start on the TV appearances, and after a certain number we get bonus TV money every time. Unfortunately I suspect it's been chosen for Holloway's interviews rather than our involvement.
I just thought the lure of West Ham would have been the first game. They've just been relegated and as of yet they haven't got rid of anyone (theres even some talk about the likes of green staying), there's the talk of potential new owners coming in and Big Sam Allerdyce is the new manager. Bear in mind they're up against a team that were in the top two for the majority of last season I'd have thought they'd have been nailed on certainties. Glad it's us though!
