Championship Team of the Year: Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester), Kieran Trippier (Burnley), Aaron Cresswell (Ipswich), Wes Morgan (Leicester), Jason Shackell (Burnley), Danny Drinkwater (Leicester), Andy Reid, Craig Bryson (Derby), Will Hughes (Derby), Danny Ings (Burnley), Ross McCormack (Leeds).
You can argue with that team They have plenty wrong IMO and only 4 players I would pick Trippier Morgan Hughes Ings
I don't see and know enough to comment on the 'team of the year' your comments pretty much say it all ............... very disappointing. Maybe SWP would win the The Least Best Value Player of the Year Award. I still can't get my head around the fact that this guy was signed by Man City for mega dollars and can't even make it into the starting 11 for a championship team .......... unbelievable! Anyway, congratulations to those players who did.
The worst Leeds United side I have ever seen and most goals in the league means that rightly so Ross is the first player on that team sheet
And it could have been Cesar, Simpson, Onouha, Hill, BAE, Barton, Henry, Remy, Adel, Krancjar, Austin, if ........
Just shows how much weve underperformed, we should have expected half a dozen in their with the money weve wasted. I have no problems with it, the only players who had a chance were ones who were injured.
Aussie He started 4 games, came on as sub in 6, scored none, assisted none, but did muster 5 shots on target - what more do you want from him? Its a shame success isn't measure in your ability to fall over - i feel confident he would of made the best 11 'faller overs' even given given his limited game time.
We could have a SWP drinking game, 2 fingers when he falls over, does a 360 and then loses it, cuts inside and has a shot blocked, drags a shot low left and you have to neck it when he hits the upper tier. The trouble is i suspect wed all be dead through alcohol poisoning by HT.
Some on here must be fuming that POTY elect Joey Barton didn't get in the side. Maybe it's because he bottled the tackle again for their equaliser on Sat
Sums our season up chaps - not a single QPR player .... I've heard the tea lady delivers a good cuppa
Has anyone worked out where wed be if we took out that time and gave us the average points per game that we got without McLaren? I really believed that saved Redknapps job and wed be 10-16th place if he wasn't bought in, I'd loved to see the figures.
Well the figures are quite easy to work out. McClaren left after 9 games. In the subsequent 36 games We've won 15, drawn 9 lost 12 gaining 54 Points. So if we'd averaged the same amount of points in the first 9 games as we did since we'd have ended up on either 67-68 points depending if you round it up or down (13.5 points every 9 games) That would put us 7th in the current standings either 1 or 2 points outside the playoffs. Not nearly as bad as you thought but more than likely the difference between finishing in the playoffs as we have and missing out.
Danny Drinkwater is winning our Forum player of the season poll with over 51% of the votes ... he has been tremendous ... none of the midfield players you have named would come anywhere close to him ... IMHO
