This is the problem when you go speaking for other people Cest.

None of the people I go to the games with gave up on us. Most of the people in the pubs etc were the same.

It's always much easier for people to post doom & gloom than optimism which is why forums like this don't reflect reality.

Sadly pessimism is contagious and, in my experience, brings the general atmosphere down a notch.

Perhaps that's why the players found their form away from home where the supporters keep the faith more.
The support at Man City & Chelsea was excellent and the players responded.

Optimism, like pessimism, rubs off on everyone.
Perhaps those who give up too easily can learn a lesson from the last month and do what we all claim we do ........... keep the faith.

Being a pessimist is a personal choice but perhaps the doom mongers will now think twice about shooting down anyone who dares to believe and keeps trying to maintain an atmosphere of hope and total support.

I've never understood why only pessimists believe they're realists ...........perhaps someone can explain <ok>

You said the crowd would turn on Poyet - you were WRONG
You said Connor Wickham wasn't very good - you were wrong (you admitted this on another thread so <applause>)
You said Ki was rubbish, then, when he proved you wrong, you said he was good, then when he turned to **** you said "I told you so" - so basically you are right as long as you make your opinions up with hindsight.
    Any more?

Spot on Smug - although, and it was nothing to do with contagious, I thought we were down. Everyone I sat around at the match thought we were down. Then the last two weeks happened! Yet none of them think "that's it we're safe". I am certainly no pessimist - look at my previous - am eternally optimistic but I had us relegated 3 weeks ago. I think, head over heart, an awful lot did.

I love eating this type of humble pie - OK so we're not safe yet but we have certainly got steve mcqueen's motorbike revving and ready to go!

People can say what they like, it's a free forum.

The trouble with ****ers like Baz is that they 'out themselves' by crawling under their stones when proved totally wrong.

They just don't have the bollocks to hold their hands up.
