Another graceless ****. Just seen his post-match interview on MOTD2. It's about winning, mate. It doesn't matter if a team comes to defend. Defending well is as valid a way to win a game as attacking well. Moreover, if Liverpool don't learn to defend themselves, they'll get royally ****ed over in the Champions League.
f**k him and his veneers. If the ****house gets sacked he can always get a job as a pie crimper at Mackmans with those gnashers. I really do hope Man City win it on goal difference.
Defend or not Liverpool gifted Chelsea the first and got caught on the break for the 2nd. Another tactical master class from the special one.
Made reference to this on the other thread but you’re right it was graceless – he and they were tactically outmastered by Mourinho and Chelsea. There’s a myth that Liverpool are some sort of cut above in terms of sportsmanship – from their fans right through the club. It’s bullshit. After the game, Rodgers had the chance to be the better man, but he failed miserably.
Just read it on SSN, ****ing 2 buses. I didn't see the game but Mourinho knows each game he plays, tactically one of the best, not neccesarily the prettiest.
I just watched it, you should see his huge smirk and how clever he thinks he's been when he cracks that one, it's plain on his face just how pleased he is with himself... What a ****
Well he is a ****, but I guess when most of the pundits including Lawro and Molby were saying that Liverpool would blow Cheski away, I think I would be feeling a bit smug.
Sorry, my post never mentioned what I was on about I was talking about Rodgers when cracking his excellent 2 busses gag.
I actually agree with what Rogers said to a certain extent.. Liverpool have been playing excellent, flowing, attacking football all season. Everyone wants to be entertained when watching footy and Liverpool have entertained the most without question. It seems a shame that Chelsea went there and got all their men behind the ball without ever trying to win the game... why would a team like Chelsea have that kind of mentality? Probably because they knew if they came to play and go for the win Liverpool would smash them. Obviously that was the "special" one's plan from the start, and it worked.. but in my opinion its a cowardly tactic.
Chelsea have half there team missing including there keeper and two centre backs. Look at what happened to Arsenal when they came and played a open game. Liverpool just wasn't good enough to break them down. I'm sure Liverpool fans wasn't complaining when bored there way to winning the Champions League in 2005.
You've basically made the point, but as you said, Liverpool have been fantastic going forward and blowing EVERY team out. Why would Chelsea go there, with players like Hazard, Eto'o and Ramires and attack for the full 90 minutes. Liverpool struggled to break down an organised defence and Chelsea exposed there weaknesses. It isn't a cowardly tactic when you need to win.
Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, all knew how to 'win ugly' when they were at the top and until BR learns to appreciate that, then Liverpool's wait for a title might continue for a while longer.
Being defensive is one thing but time-wasting is cheating. It isn't 'part of the game' and I wish these pundits would **** off promoting cheating all the time.
