Loss for me, we don't beat Pulis away from home. Good luck to city, don't let the chavs win.

I think we should have a separate match thread for Everton vs City, that game is to big to belong in the Rival thread one.

I've changed my mind and will be positive and say a win for us.

    Palace seem asleep today.

The team need to pick themselves up a bit after today, away game against a team thats generally been in good form. If we hit the ground running we should get a result. I will be optimistic and say 2-0 studge and stirling :)

We will win. We will win against Castle. City will drop points along the way. Gerrard will lift the trophy. Moses will party and dance and call himself a Premier League winner for the one and only time in his life.

FFS, what is Lucas doing on the pitch! Don't give the ****ing ball to Johnson! Stop the ****ing cross in the first place Flannigan, and Migs wouldn't have to flap like a ****ing windmill!!! Get the ball forward for Christ's sake Stevie, and stop the five yard passes between you and the centre-backs! You've beat him once Ram Jam, don't ****ing go back and do it again! Is that a shot or are you trying a ****ing wall-pass against the corner flag, Ford? Just put the ball in the net and stop tossing about Studge! Allen - you're just not as good as Henderson....

Just getting my whining out the way before the game. :steam:

We will beat Palace. They were ****ing **** against City and we will have more desire and more skill than them. We will win. But I hope We go more attacking, I don't like Lucas in the starting team now Gerrard plays holding role

  15. I've been adamant that we'll beat Palace and Newcastle for a while, nothing has changed my mind. It is the reason I kept saying a point would do prior to yesterdays game.

If you go at them like we did, they're more than capable of ripping you to bits on the break.

Pulis has created a good side there, they've won 5 of their last 6.

Now they're safe they might be on the beach though, an early goal might be enough to sap their desire.

I said for weeks I expected us to draw against Chelsea and draw against Palace, setting us up to have to win against Newcastle. Now we have to win both games..... and that's just to take City to the line. We need a three/four goal win to put pressure on City for their last two games, but I think we'll be lucky to squeeze a win at all. Palace will set themselves up like Chelsea (as will Newcastle) after Brendan whinning about it, so it'll be hard, hard work.

Just on that though, I have to agree with Shearer last night. Jose's tactics were no surprise yesterday, but you have to doff your hat to the discipline and graft of the players carrying it out. We were totally clueless. But more importantly, we were the ones who needed the draw, but we haven't the skill nor personnel to set ourselves up like that. That has to be our next phase - organise and drill our defence/midfield to play SOME games like that. We'll sure as **** face it in the CL next year.

So Palace will be start of a new idea - if we can't win beautiful, win ugly and get the points on the board. Depending on if Studge is fit or not I'd like to see him and Sterling on the flanks, Coutinho in centre midfield behind the front three, and Gerrard and Allen behind the wide men. Rotate personnel as required to confuse the opposition tactics. But I think that game plan needs Henderson, tbh.

I disagree. Even for their own pride they will want to gain a win and demonstrate (even if only to themselves) their superiority.

If you look back over the history of our season- it's usually after beating a major opponent we play badly. I am confident of a win.
