Struggling to recall the time when Sunderland markedly helped us out with players. I recall them lending us Michael Reddy in the 90s – but he was no real help and quickly fell out of pro football not long after. Did they lend us one or two other ineffectual young players around this time too? Maybe I’m forgetting someone decent. Sunderland usually do pretty well out of us transfer wise. We bought ****ing John Moore from ‘em for cash. They diddled us on the Tony Norman deal too. Also, the Turner deal (even though in hindsight that fee was alright, it still relegated us).
