Just seen Burnley celebrating with a Cup. I think that's a bit strange, receiving an actual Cup for finishing as runners up. A Shield of some description would be more appropriate would it not?

The Playoffs are a different thing. They're a mini Competition and the final is at Wembley so a Cup for the winners is required.

But a Cup for second spot?

Ha! Back from Indianapolis, tried to cram 5 days work into 3 as I decided not to lose yet another Sunday/ Bank Holiday in airports. Heavy travel period coming up, Brussels next week, Japan for a chunk of May (including play off final day), probably 2 straight weeks split between New York/Indy in June. At the end of which I will need a holiday.

Despite my almost total detachment from this team this season I reckon I'll get an ST next year whatever league we are in on the grounds that if I don't go to more games I'll lose touch entirely, and it can't be worse - either a fresh start in the Championship or some drama in the Prem. Plus the boy should be away at uni so I'll only need to cough up for the one.....see you down the C&S, full of hope and expectation, in August.

Well, that was riveting. Redknapp still sandbagging, apparently we should be grateful we aren't being relegated. Usual passion from Ollie.

I do wonder sometimes if 'Ollie would get more out of our team?
Where do you go for a holiday after already having to fly so frequently? For me personally, the flight ( although I dislike it ) is all part of the holiday experience. Five hours is as much as I can bear.

I was discussing with the people around me today regarding renewing ST's, and yep, we're all going to go for it again next season in whichever division that may be. You haven't got to be mad to support the hoops............

Who knows really if it be could purely bad luck? Look at Austin's injury, you can't plan for that or quite a few of the others, the frequency of similar hamstring injuries is a concern, could just be one of those things or could be the way the players train, the only thing is that the players know their bodies and know if something is likely to cause them trouble, I'd like to think they would say something if they felt the training was wrong for them.

I remember being gutted when Ollie went on his gardening leave from us before.
I thought he got as much out of a really weak Rangers squad as possible.
    He did a great job.

I was gutted as well. I think 'Ollie's backing of Luton's manager Mike Newell about agents in the game had something to do with him being put on 'gardening leave.' I don't think Palladini being an ex-agent himself liked the potential exposure.

Not for me. Arry's team selections and formations alone have cost us the points that would have given us an auto. He needs replacing even if by some small chance we luck through in the play offs.

What on earth was Green doing for the Millwall goal?
Surely an own goal from the keeper? Simply terrible!!

I don't like him. He had a great early season yes but he's very error prone these days. And a Goalkeeper that's error prone is not a good Goalkeeper.

He doesn't inspire any confidence whatsoever.

What?!? I've just had to look at it again about 10 times to work out what your talking about and I'm still lost! It was a miss hit/sliced shot that spun up and then down behind him, he had no chance, I'm a keeper and there's almost nothing you can do when the ball moves like that!

I don't agree mate. I think he was partly culpable. He could have put a stronger hand to it and pushed it over or onto the bar. He did get something on it after all.

Still, the three in front of him were worse. Firstly, whoever made that half-arsed attempt at a tackle (Barton?) should be embarrassed and the two center-halves just stood there watching the guy as he lined up his shot.

A woeful goal to concede all round.

Looks to me as though Green palms it into the net.

Does it matter? It's only the result we care about, isn't it? A brilliant point to secure 4th place and a home second leg in the play offs!! Yay!

Indeed. But because of their combined fu*k up we didn't get it.

have to agree, actually don't think it was even going in, more like hitting the bar. Still not really important and best to get the balls-ups out the way before the playoffs....

Didn't get what? 4th place? We did. The result we wanted? We did. Please elaborate or just fess up to coming over to the dark side - it's not forbidden you know.

Who said anything about 4th place? 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th; its all the same to me.

We didn't get the result, IE a home win. We were winning against a poor Millwall in injury time but chucked it away. However, if we win the upcoming tournament, no amount of Rob Green howlers this season will matter because we'll have achieved our objectives.

One can be disappointed with a result but not believe Armageddon is upon us you know. Its called having balance. You might want to try it some time

I can see what your saying but I think the dip and spin beat him, his reaction makes it look like he made a mistake but it is more likely he is gutted to have been beaten by a goal like that so late in the game. Watch the way the shot is taken, there is a massive slice and the ball is spinning and just drops in over him, if he got a touch then it was very slight and he certainly hasn't knocked it into the goal.

As stan says, it isn't too important other than I fear a cock up like that will cost us dear in the play offs.
I think the ball was probably hitting the bar till green put it in.

I honestly think that Green has made less significant errors than the average in the league this season. Every keeper makes them.
